 Now I can actually use this as a canister vacuum, so it's going to take a closer look at the base of the unit itself. Now we have a few different things going on here. The first thing you're going to notice we have a large dial that's basically going to adjust the brush up and down. That's our brush height adjustment

 So if you get any hair or anything else that gets wrapped around it, very simple to remove the bearing block, remove the brush roll, remove all that, and put it all back together. Now you notice we also have a three-point stance. Now the beautiful thing about this center wheel is that the handle is in the upright position storage position. This actually extends out to keep the brush roll off the ground so we don't have to worry about prematurely wearing the brushes out

 so we have a back motor position here and we have a separate brush motor down below. Now again, one of the beautiful things about having a two motor upright is I can actually physically separate the base from the housing by simply pushing it on this gray button. Now I can actually use this as a canister vacuum, so it's going to take a closer look at the base of the unit itself. Now we have a few different things going on here

I never knew how much I would enjoy reading this subreddit but it's become truly addictive. That said, I'm in the market for a new vacuum cleaner.

Budget - Under 350 preferably

Flooring - 50% Hard floor (wood &amp; tile); 30% area rugs; 20% carpet (one large bedroom).

Additional considerations - I have a french bulldog who sheds (not a ton but definitely noticeable). I'd like to have a hose, tube, etc. so that I could use the vacuum on upholstery and for something akin to a dustbuster.

I've considered this hoover (link below) but wasn't sure how good it would be on the hard floors, and it also doesn't have much versatility in terms of cleaning upholstery. I've also heard good things about Karchers but similarly wasn't sure how good it would take care of the hard floors.  I currently have a Dyson v6 animal that is pretty old, so I was thinking that I could get something without a wand or handheld attachment and just keeping using the stick for hard to reach places.

Purchase Advice

 You get the vacuum, a manual, and 1 set of filters installed. The swivel head is not important to me, but I could buy it as an attachment later. The retractable handle is not important to me. The multiple power settings is not important to me

 And I just bought the accessories I wanted and I saved about $40. This thing is powerful. I think it sucked the soul out of my carpet, and I love it.

Okay, big boy time. This is my primary vacuum so I want to see how it actually performs. Most people seem to get around 70. CFM However, I think that maybe with the smaller European 700 watt motor

Hey everyone, I am about to be graduating and will be moving out come April or May, and for my birthday I wanted to get a vacuum that would be quality. I love vacuuming but every single one I've ever had was like 50 dollars and just absolute garbage so I want something to last. Here is some information

Budget: I was prepared to spend 500+ for a Dyson stick vacuum but hear it just isn't worth it so budget range I would say 300-500 with the cheaper being better. I don't need the absolute best of all time vacuum, if something is 350 and works that is great.

Flooring: While not moved out yet, all that I have looked at and going to choose between is all hardwood with carpet only in bedrooms and tiles in bathrooms. So around 70 hardwood-30 carpet.

Special needs: No pets will live with me I do not want them so this is not a concern. Perhaps a lighter would be nice, again wanted a stick vacuum for ease of use so a super heavy duty vacuum wouldn't be too appealing to me.

Thanks for all your guy's help, glad to find this place before I pulled the trigger on the stick.

Looking for my first vacuum for moving out

This vacuum is a sebo dart with a different label , longer cord, and no accessories. It's marketed for commercial carpet cleaning instead of home use under a different brand label, Karcher.  You can save some money by purchasing a cv 300 instead of a dart and buy the attachments separately from sebo. Look at the differences to see which is best for you, but they are the same motor and vacuum with added features on the dart/felix vs the cv 300

 Suction is good, and you have the option to run it in "Quiet" mode although even on full power it's quieter than my previous vacuum. I've also heard good things about the Karcher CV300 ($400) but not sure how they stack up.

The brushroll hasn't gotten wrapped up with fur, but if it does it takes all of 2 seconds to pop it out, no screwdriver required. It has HEPA and carbon filters built in, and the bags are about $1 each on Amazon. I am in desperate need a vacuum that tackles long hair on carpet.  As a long haired person with a long haired cat there is a lot of hair that gets stuck in my medium pile carpet.  My house is mostly hardwood and only the bedrooms are carpeted. I have a little i robot that does a good enough job on the hardwood but does basically nothing for all the hair in the carpets. So ideally it could do hardwood and furniture also, but the hairy carpets are the primary concerns

Budget is around 500ish but can be flexible.

I don't really know anything about vacuums so no preferences there but something easier to maintain and use is way better.

To summarize: Need a decent mid-priced vacuum for hairy carpets. hardwood, furniture and easy to maintain would be pluses. Thank you!

Need Vacuum for long hair on carpet

Spent a good amount of time on the web looking at reviews before deciding to buy this vacuum cleaner. I have used Bissel and Kenmore before this one and certainly Karcher has a lot more suction power. This model is geared towards carpeted places and you can buy a separate attachment for hardwood. It is not a light vacuum though, so if that’s a concern I would not recommend this

I have a few questions, I saw karcher's own video on youtube about this vacuum and how you should only push it forwards does that mean that it only cleans when pushing forward or does it mean I have to lift it and put it back down instead of pulling backwards?
