 You get flat beater like this, you get a dough hook, and you get a wire whip. The guy who named all this stuff is a genius so there's no confusion as to what these do. That whip stuff, that beat stuff, and the dough hook is for making dough. As you can see with the classic model the bowl doesn't have a handle on it

 It doesn't seem like a lot but when you're dealing with heavy dough that extra power does make a big difference. On this mixer the controls are very basic. On the left side you got a speed control that goes from zero to ten. Basically zero is off obviously and ten is maximum speed

 The bowl here has a maximum capacity of four and a half quarts and if you're keeping count that would actually make six pounds of mashed potatoes in here, six dozen cookies, or four loaves of bread all at one time. To me that's a pretty good size. I wouldn't want to get anything smaller than that just to make sure that you don't actually run out of space in it but you don't necessarily need anything larger unless you're doing bigger jobs. One change that I made right away when I got mine was instead of using the flat beater here that comes with it I actually got a flat edge beater

 Now as you can see it's threaded here on the bottom so if you want to put that back on you just twist it back on and you're good to go. The more expensive models are actually suspended up here from the array.  I miss the lovely whir of the old one. The grinding awful rattling of this mixer is so irritating, it scares all my pets away and makes me not want to use it! Waste of $300. Do not buy. Only giving it a few stars because it technically works to mix stuff

7 inches wide, and 14.1 inches deep. Since it weighs 25 pounds, it's best to find a place for it permanently on your countertop because you don't want to be moving it around. It comes with a four and a half quart stainless steel mixing bowl, a six wire whip, nylon coated flat beater, nylon coated dough hook, and instruction manual with a speed control guide, good mixing tips, and lots of recipes

 This mixer is not really light at all. You would want to set it on your counter permanently instead of moving it back and forth in and out of your cabinets and things. What I really, really love is it comes with mixing tips, 67 different recipes, and, of course, instructions. I'm telling you, if you're wanting a mixer that's really going to help you out with all of your cooking and baking needs, then this is the one for you

 This leaves a black powdery residue that rubs off easily. I don't think it's particularly dangerous if it were to end up in your food in small quantities, but it has a metallic smell and taste and it's unsightly. I'm sure it says somewhere in the manual that the whisk attachment shouldn't go in the dishwasher, but it would be nice if the manufacturer could either make it so this doesn't happen in the first place, or alternatively attached a label to the thing with a warning so you can't miss it.
