 But really the star of the show is the microphone tab and they've done such a good job here outlining all different parameters and you can hover over little question marks to learn about which of these what they do but if you're not into all the little things you can also play around with different presets either the pro broadcaster presets from different players or different blue voice presets which I found to be really good starting points I'm like tweaking them a little bit and what you're listening to now is my custom preset that I've also listened to and make sure that it's kind of what I like to hear and you can enable voice so this is right now without any blue voice software parameters interacting with the recording and now it is with so nice bass good broadcast quality nice compression the really cool thing they've done here is let you record a little mic test and then play around with different parameters and EQ settings so you can hear how the microphone will sound and only then apply the preset or save that as a preset which I found really cool my favorite out of the bunch would be the broadcast to preset and I've tweaked it a slightly that works well for my voice and now let me plug in a different headset like the original G pro so you can hear the difference between this microphone and the improved six millimeter capsule so what you're listening to now is that recorded by the original G pro headset going to the same DAC so all my parameters that I've applied for the pro x headset now goes into the original G pro and it sounds almost identical like the difference with the preset applied are almost not noticeable and even if I disable voice right now the actual quality of the microphone sounds identical even though it is a four millimeter capsule instead of six and now we got the GSP 300 plugged into the same USB DAC and listen to what happens to my voice when I enable blue voice alright so now we're listening to the same personal sound preset through the GSP 300 there's just something off about it even if I tweak my expander gate settings noise reduction presets and stuff like that there's just it doesn't sound as good as it does on a G pro X and the same can be said for the GSP 500 right now blue voice is enabled everything is going in the same DAC so I haven't changed anything by the headset and there's just something off about the focal clarity even when the blue voice is enabled when I disable it the microphone sounds pretty good and that could be the reason why Logitech is not selling the USB hub separately because it might interact with different microphones and might not benefit some microphones over others I was hoping to see more hardware implementation with blue microphones instead of it being really software focused and it's kind of weird because I always felt that pro line was always meant to be simplified it's just like it's right there it works but here they went like above and beyond in terms of customizing your voice to make you sound pro and it's more like audio editing software instead of it being a feature and sure we have multiple presets built in and you can go in and spend some time of like customizing to see what each slider does and how it affects your voice but it's almost like going against what the pro line is all about and when we asked if they will sell the dongle separately so that you can connect a different headset to it and still utilize the blue voice functionality they are kind of hesitant on that and I understand it because when testing my own headsets plugging in different things they sound different and therefore it could compromise the whole blue voice feature if you're plugging in a headset and it sounds terrible right so on that front I get it but again it had to be something clarified because my initial impression was like why don't you just sell this dongle separately so that I could utilize this voice functionality with plenty of my other headsets but they all do sound quite different versus this one alright good people so let me know your thoughts about the microphone quality and the whole blue voice functionality I definitely think it adds value but being the $30 dongle and surround sound being kind of terrible that is the only thing you're paying for but in terms of its being competitive the pro by itself at $99 is pretty decent but it is again competing with like the cloud alpha or the cloud 2 and it'll be interesting to see which headset people will gravitate towards in the long term because right now I feel like the cloud is like the dominant thing when it comes to designs like this alright I'm Dimitri thanks much for watching and I'll talk to you in the next video.

Logitech G PRO X Review - The Best Mic On A Gaming Headset?

The Logitech G Pro X gaming headset is an excellent choice if you want high-end features and build quality at a relatively low price. The $130 package includes a sturdy, comfortable, headset with two sets of earpads, plus a DTS Headphone:X 2.0 USB sound card that enables a remarkable variety of EQ and audio processing adjustments for both the headphones and microphone.

 Short, coiled cables connect the earcups to each other, under the headband padding. The result of all of these elements is a sturdy, comfortable design that can be worn for long periods of time, comparable in fit and feel to the Turtle Beach Elite Pro 2 and a marked step up from previous Logitech G-series gaming headsets.

 This $129.99 headset features a comfortable, sturdy build, loads of accessories, a 7.1-channel USB sound card, and a remarkable amount of software-based audio customization options, all for far less than the high-end models from the likes of Astro and Turtle Beach. It packs an impressive punch, and earns our Editors' Choice for all it offers

 The earpads are generous, soft memory foam wrapped in black faux leather, matching the foam-and-leatherette padding on the headband.  I have no issues trusting this headset and its audio performance for competitive CSGO for EFT and really enjoying anything in my gaming library because the sound is good. It really does suck though that the surround sound experience is so much worse on the Pro X wireless and the Pro X versus something like the G935 but the stereo performance here is excellent I just wish that the quality across all features was more balanced in terms of like having good microphone having good surround sound but this headset has battery life, comfort and sound quality going for it and everything else is secondary.  This is the G2 Kenny S preset I don't know how it's in the Pro slash broadcaster category because it sounds nothing like it should. This is a fun one FM station this is probably what I would use to chat with the boys. This is a TSM myth and I do appreciate it we have a lot of flexibility in the software I disabled blue voice just so we can have this conversation without anything applied on the microphone. I like I appreciate the idea behind blue voice and being able to tweak each single EQ setting and come up with your own preset but it doesn't fix a microphone that is already poor

 So what you're hearing now is that recorded by the Pro X wireless without blue voice enabled and by default like if you apply any effects onto this it's not gonna fix a poor microphone it's not clear it's highly compressed and doesn't sound natural and it's not exactly what blue is known for right one of my favorite microphones is actually from blue the blue amber which has beautiful warm tones I mean putting blue voice on this package is an embarrassment really but now let's enable blue voice so it can sound worse. What you're hearing now is that with the broadcaster one preset and it does add a little bit more bass a bit more compression some noise gate so I am louder but the microphone still is quite poor. This is the G2 Kenny S preset I don't know how it's in the Pro slash broadcaster category because it sounds nothing like it should.  The Pro line is really all about the core functionality of this being a solid gaming headset in eSports and at your home. I feel like Logitech really pioneered the whole idea behind wireless gaming peripherals being just as good as their wired counterparts, removing the whole stigma around latency, around battery life, around reliability in the heat of the moment and the G Pro X Wireless is a really good contender on the market but basically all my complaints of the wired version, the G Pro X, still carry over to the wireless version, unfortunately. So in this video let's see exactly what is different, talk about the sound quality, the microphone quality and its relation to other wireless gaming headsets that are still worth it in 2020. Let's review right to this

Lastly, here’s how the Icepop sounds with the same “Broadcaster 1” preset turned on in Blue Voice:

The Icepop does a better job of accurately capturing what my voice sounds like in real life, replacing some of that shrill effect from the default mic with warmth. And those “b” and “p” sounds do sound great, as advertised, though I was surprised to hear it fumble a little when I made “x” and “s” sounds. That could be my slight lisp or it could be a flaw with the tuning or a limitation of the mic. Turning on the Blue Voice feature fixed most of my complaints, but I was expecting a little more out of the raw feed captured through the Icepop

After listening to the samples over and over, the difference in quality between Logitech’s default mic and the Icepop, while noticeable, isn’t as apparent as I was expecting considering its $49.99 cost. Of course, it’s not reasonable to expect this add-on to rival standalone microphones that cost more, and there are some things that I like about it. 

Logitech is promising that the Icepop will deliver enhanced “broadcast-quality” performance with its 10mm electret condenser mic. It has a built-in pop filter that aims to eliminate those hard “b” or “p” sounds that can be a giveaway that you’re using a lesser mic, and its unidirectional cardioid pickup is said to eliminate background noise and focus more on your voice.

Now, yours truly isn’t a podcast host, so I don’t have preferred voice settings locked in for the times when I need to jump into a voice chat. But to illustrate how the recording quality differs between the Icepop and the default mic that ships with the G Pro X Wireless, I recorded several samples to show what they sound like with and without the special Blue Voice features built into Logitech’s G Hub software. If you’re using the Astro A40, you won’t be able to access the Blue Voice features.

 They pop right off, just pull it down, and the replacement ear pad has a big lip around it, so just put that in there and roll it around, and good to go. Very easy to change out. Now also with the headband right here, plenty of plush going all the way around. As you can see, it kind of holds that memory foam a little bit, so it's not too soft, not too firm

 Number one, this headset will be available in August and number two, it comes in at 199 bucks. So let's start right there. Is it worth 199 bucks? Yes. The wired one was what 139, I believe something like that

 Do you need that microphone? Do you need those options because again, you're paying for that right here and is it good? It's fantastic. It is hands down amazing, you know? So again, piece all that together and then it's going to be totally worth your money. I mean, the comfort, the build, the style is pristine. The only fault I can say is a swivel, but we all know that's personal preference

 Now also with the headband right here, plenty of plush going all the way around. As you can see, it kind of holds that memory foam a little bit, so it's not too soft, not too firm. Really holds its position. Now, as far as adjustability on the headset, as you see, you got that arm right there

Logitech G Pro X Wireless Headset, DETAILED REVIEW!

On another note they are probably the best gaming headset available. They have naturally open sound stage any way, but paired with a good hrtf or s-xfi sound card are truly awesome.

Just got my first pair of “good” headphones, the AKG K712, paired with smol bean (btr5 from fiiO) really amazed with just how bad every other pair of headphones sounds now

 But sound is like taste and someone else may like that.  Quality:  They’re great, for the price point it’s what you usually expect but they don’t cheap out. They’re sturdy, super flexible, hinges are made well and aluminum where it counts most, right at cups.  Mic:  Blue voice didn’t make much of difference to me, sounded too condescend but without blue voice this mic is a grade below the Astro a40 TR mic

 The G Pro X’s are a lot slimmer, less bulky and lighter.  The padding on top is super cushiony and soft. The earcups are lettered on the inside for left/right indicators. The cushions are soft, not the deepest but dense enough

The fake leather does get warm but with this bundle you get cloth ones to change which are just as soft and comfortable.  The clamping force is minimal but enough to sit flush on your head

 The mic is detachable though and very much flexible too, make sure to keep it a little ways from your mouth. It can pick up breathing and p’s easily otherwise.  Accessories: Splitter cable, external usb dac, Mobile cable, extra earcups (cloth), carrying bag and PC cable.  TL;DR:  I loved the comfort and style of these headsets proably one of my favorites with it’s classy, understated look

 Usually I'm not a person who really likes wearing over their headphones, they've just never been comfortable for me, but these ones, they're pretty good, they're quite comfy. When it comes to sound quality, they're really good. It does have a more natural kind of flat sound so there's definitely not any booming bass on here, but not to the point where I feel like I'm missing out on games. Luckily, this will make your experience listening to music or movies a lot better so if you don't plan on using these solely for gaming, that can be a real perk

You can go into stuff like TSM Myth, all these Daquan, you know, all these other streamers and then people

 I also love the simplicity of the branding on here, just a small Logitech G logo on each side. They feel really great as they're made of metal so they feel really sturdy and premium. The stock earpads that are installed are made of leather so they're very comfortable. There are no buttons on the headset itself so the only controls you're going to have is going to be on the inline volume control on the braided cable

 So you can see it's a little slider, and as you turn it back up, I don't know if you can hear it on the video, but basically you can turn it up, turn it down, and you control basically how much you hear yourself through the microphone, so you can kind of like keep track of, you know, how loud you're speaking so you're not yelling while you're playing a game. I'm honestly like a really big fan of this feature. I know some people don't like it, some people just prefer to have it off, so it's just like you're wearing any normal kind of headphones, but having that voice monitoring feature is honestly something that I really like. Yeah, overall, this microphone sounds really good, and I think that because of, you know, all the options in here, you can customize it
