Plan B bought by Asmodée ! so Azul, Century, Great Western Trail ...

 Then players will face the minions they are engaged with.  Each player will have an encounter card dealt to them, and then in player order they will activate.  The first player token will pass, and a new round will begin.  Winning and Losing:  Players win if they element the second stage Villain (third stage for harder difficulty)

 Playing a card is simply looking at the top left corner and then discarding cards that equal the resource cost. Each hero feels like Iron Man, Spider-man, She-hulk, Black Panther, and Captain Marvel. Meaning, Iron Man is building parts to his armor, and She-hulk is a power house that can really help the players defeat the villain. The obligations that may appear can inconvenience the players, and if a player nemesis appears then that is another enemy everyone must overcome

 Starting scheme is resolved by reading the back of it’s card before advancing it to its active side. The encounter deck should be shuffled (villain deck, standard encounter cards, and one modular set of cards chosen) with the obligations set aside that belong to heroes playing the game.  Players should now draw their starting hand based on their alter-ego card. They may take a mulligan to discard cards in their hand to their discard pile to draw a new set of cards

 The next scenario, which is against the Klaw, then upgrades the difficulty beyond belief. Every, and I mean EVERY aspect of the villain and the challenges you are facing are increased by quite a bit. You are then fighting what seems to be an insurmountable task every turn.Every turn is mitigating the damage or scheme placed on the scenario while plucking away slowly on the villains HP

Horrible, just horrible.

Well, this is a non-buy for me.  I already have *everything*, lost interest by the time the final kickstarter shipped, and Marvel Champions has basically obsoleted SotM for me.

Sounds like they're going to eventually re-release ALL of that content with "definitive" editions. I'm very skeptical as I'm one of those guys who became so overwhelmed with the gigantic box and everything that I sold it all.

I play Marvel Champions single handed so the game is more of a case of figuring out the puzzle of solving the shortfall in your hero against the villain.

One-Player Wednesday - (April 21, 2021)

I bought this entirely as a splurge purchase with the hopes that I would enjoy a playthrough or two by myself or with my girlfriend. After explaining the premise to a couple of friends at work before the package even arrived, they said they were down to play this as well. Everyone got done at 7pm, came over to my place, and we cracked open the box. After about 15 minutes of assembly and organization, we built the suggested hero decks at the back of the Learn to Play guide, and thus began our hour long presentation of reading the rules

Following the setup guide, our table was ready to begin play (although none of us were entirely sure what we were doing). After 4 hours of deep thought, number crunching, and cursing the encounter deck, we eventually lost to Rhino in his second phase
