When looking at e-ink reader releases like Dasung 253, Inkpad, HiSense A5 Pro CC Color, Onyx Boox Nova 3 Color, Hisense A7 CC Color and so on, they're being released with glossy screens which for me doesn't make sense as it deviates from the reading experience e-ink readers feature when compared to LCD ones. If their going to have glossy screens at direct light I see no real purpose on getting one, as LCD tablets are cheaper and give the same experience.

I'm using Onyx Boox Nova 3. Its size is better for portable use I think.

I also find the device to be a \*little\* slow but still manageable. My use cases would primarily be for reading novels and manga, and possibly some note taking and web browsing for work. I'm open to a device that is 8 inches or larger, and ideally has a nicer screen. Some options I was considering were the Galaxy Tab S7+ used (tough to find under $400), or going the e-ink route with an Onyx Boox Nova 3.

I am using the onyx boox Nova 3 color, since I really need the pictures in Anki to study. It works reasonably well (you need to set it to a higher refresh rate in order to go crazy from the ghosting).
