The 6 Best Headphones Under $200 - Spring 2022

The Philips Fidelio X2HR are the best audiophile headphones under $200 that we've tested. Their open-back design helps them create an open, spacious, and natural passive soundstage, making for a more immersive audio experience.

I tried to like the Philips Fidelio X2HR but compared to my DT770 I didn't like them and the cable noise was too much to bear.

Philips Fidelio X2HR

The Philips Fidelio X2HR are a great pair of wired open-back headphones for neutral sound listening. Their sound profile is very well-balanced, making them suitable for a wide range of genres and content, though some people may find they sound a bit piercing or dull on certain tracks. Thanks to their large, well-padded ear cups and automatically-adjusting headband, they're comfortable to wear, even for extended periods

King of the Philips headphones

In the past year, I have gone through a long list of headphones and headsets. I finally, got down to two. The first, was the infamous, most talked-about, reviewed and beloved, Philips SHP9500. For audio direct from the DS4 I’d say grab some Philips Fidelio X2HR with a V-MODA BoomPro Mic, you’ll not need an Amp/DAC either (having recently tested these I can confirm the DS4 can drive them with no issues).

Best headphones ever?

If you take everything good about these headphones:

- Amazing comfort.

- Easy to drive.

- Great soundstage.

- Clear tones.

- Punchy bass.

- Good for gaming, music, movies or general dialogue.

And add the cons:

- Hard to find....

You end up with just an amazing set of headphones. Pheno...

Philips Fidelio X2hr. Good bass, awesome soundstage, easy to drive. And can be found quite cheap with some shopping around and patience.

Philips Fidelio X2HR + v-moda BoomPro Mic test and Review

This splitter at the end, breaks this up into your mic in and your audio out, and you just simply connect it to the back side of this and then into the back of your computer or again audio interface, and then you've turned this beautiful pair of headphones Into a headset, so that's pretty much what you get with all of this. There is a bit of paperwork in the the boom pro box as well, but well there we are that's pretty much all of it. Both cables are braided, that's very lovely, and there we are in conclusion: what do i feel for the philips fidelio headphones?
