Riccar SupraLite

Yes, I know Dyson vacuums are not super popular on here. I own a Riccar Supralite as my main vacuum, and it's amazing.

If you are looking for a light weight vacuum for carpet I would recommend a light weight bagged upright like the Hoover Onepwr Hepa+, Oreck upright, or Riccar Supralite. These vacuums are very light weight all are around 9 pounds.

I have a Riccar Supralite Cordless, there are minor variations between the different Tacony clones of the model, different prices, different warranty lengths, and different brush rolls, but yeah, they’re essentially the same thing. Keep in mind, it has the typical limitations of a direct air machine, but it is very good on carpet and I enjoy using it very much.

Miele is easy to cut because it has a groove while Kirby and Riccar Supralite are also easy enough to cut the hair with the brushroll in place. Using a suction only floor brush avoids hairwrap so use them when you can on hard floors.

The Electrolux is discontinued so I’d avoid that one. And the Riccar Supralite is like an Oreck, it’s light weight but doesn’t have any height adjustment.
