 Because I was a Kickstarter campaign supporter, I was able to get this a little bit early. So I've been using this razor for about two weeks, I really wanted to put it through its paces. I didn't want to just do one shave and talk about it. But as I mentioned, I've done a number of different shaves with it, tried about three different blades, and now I'm ready to share the results

 Now, in addition to the finish of the razor, which is very clean, I would like to talk about some of the functionality of the razor, which is that the handle is very interesting. It's slightly longer than a number of three-piece razors that I've seen, certainly a little bit longer than something like my Gillette Superspeed, but I really like that added length. I don't have particularly big hands, but I did find the handle very comfortable. Along with that, in regard to the handle, you might be able to see the knurling here, which you might have seen in the close-ups of the video, while not being exaggerated, is really very effective

 I'm sorry, what? Oh, turns out it's a completely different Rockwell. Okay, so I'm glad we got all the confusion about Rockwell out of the way. And I'm here to talk to you about this wonderful new razor from Rockwell Razors, the Rockwell 6C. Now, you might have heard of the 6S, and they are similar, but the difference is the S version of this razor is made from stainless steel, and this is the C version or the chrome version

 So after that, I had a couple of days' growth, and I decided to put in the number six plate, the most efficient, or some might say aggressive. Now, was I nervous about that? Not at all. I'd used the razor enough that I felt very confident that I would continue to get a nice blade angle and ease of use, and that's exactly what happened. So to me, the performance of this razor is outstanding

Razor Review: Rockwell 6C (A Success, Tho Not a 6S)

Upgrades people, upgrades!

 Shaving on that side results in nothing happening. It's basically just smooth metal sliding along my skin. I'm going to research this some more and check the other adjustment plates (perhaps its an issue with the actual blade instead of the razor), but right now, the best I can rate this razor is an OK 3 stars out of 5.

- 12/28/2019: Sent an email to Rockwell saying "...the blade gap is not the same on both sides of the razor (see attached photo)

This is a tentative review of the "   Rockwell Razors 6C Adjustable Double Edge Safety Razor in Gunmetal             ." I've shaved only once using the starting "1" plate and the shave was fine: no nicks or cuts, no difficulties shaving, and the result is better than the multi-bladed shaves I was getting before. But, I can only shave with one side of the razor. If you look at the photo I've uploaded, you'll see that the spacing of the blade is not the same on both sides of the razor

 I was like I don't need two razors and I've been hankering to get that razor back and and then I thought no I want to try a new one and so I went with this Rockwell. I'm tossed. I think I'm gonna go with I don't know you tell me tell me in the comments what you think you would go with a single edge supply or the double edge Rockwell. I don't know I'm a little tossed and I think the double edge is a smarter investment as far as the distance you go with because you're getting two edges but the supply I love the design on that thing it's so sleek but anyways let me let me go back to the Rockwell

 I bought this with my hard-earned money and I just like razors. The feather is not that much different. Yeah, it'll look nice. What I thought of the Rockwell 6C Double Edge

Double Edge Shaving? Rockwell 6c Safety Razor Review

It's one of the best razors out there for both beginners and experienced users. I'd also put the Rockwell 6C and Razorock Game Changer in the adjustable list, if you're looking for such.

Upgrade advice

 The base plate design also includes three generous channels on each side that allow the shaved slurry of soap and hair to easily exit the gap space between the blade and base plate. A quick pass under the faucet removes any remaining remnants of shaving. Once dialed in with the right base-plate for your face, it's very smooth sailing with this razor!

 The handle length of 85mm / 3.35in is, in my opinion, neither too long nor too short which keeps it nimble when shaving. The side of the base-plate you face outward during assembly will determine the razor’s blade gap. While there are only three bases included, each side of the base-plate is designed to provide a different gap setting

My prior razor weighed only 58.5 grams, so I had developed a habit over 30+ years of applying some pressure while shaving. I had to quickly unlearn that habit as the natural heft of the 6C is all that is needed. I was immediately impressed by how easily the entire assembly glided across my face - absolutely zero drag/friction from the cap was experienced

 I’m just glad it included so many plates so I could still use the blades once dialed in again.

A 15 week review of the Rockwell 6C adjustable razor.

I've used a Rockwell 6C with block #3 for around a year, but have found that I still get nicks and bleeding every 4th or 5th shave. It is still waaay better than the DSC or Harry's blades I'd used for years prior to that. After doing some reading about Henson on this forum, I've decided to pull the trigger.

 It glides so smooth and fast that shaving takes only a minute. It's also enjoyable as opposed to a chore. The knurled end is perfect for a controlled grip. People with large hands may desire the longer handled variant

 There are infinite options as far as safety razor blades, and I can go eight to ten shaves easily before needing to change blades. High quality blades like Astra are only a few cents each. I'm not sure why disposables ever took off when safety razors like this have been available before disposables. Do yourself a favor and buy this now

 This blade is so dang good, I'll only ever use this. The 6 different levels give you total control over your shaving experience; 6 being the most aggressive and best for thick hair and stubble. It glides so smooth and fast that shaving takes only a minute. It's also enjoyable as opposed to a chore

.. you feel totally alpha whacking the whiskers off with cold steel. This razor is incredibly user friendly, and you would have to try hard to cut yourself with it

Never shave with a disposable again

I've a question! I'm looking to get my husband a safety razor and I've prodded around this subreddit looking for a recommendation. I see most people recommending Edwin Jagger or other, but my question is, why? Forgive my ignorance, but isn't a handle just a handle? It's the blade that does the cutting, right? So what is it that makes the Edwin Jagger a good one over the rest?

I don't wanna just get him one, I wanna be able to explain to him why I got him this particular one.

Help for present for my husband!

I first tried a safety razor from a cheap $12 asian brand. It worked alright, but broke rather pathetically after a month or two (failed butterfly clasp) and I didn't try again for years. This Rockwell razor was what got me to take a second look at using a safety. The craftsmanship is on-point! With the proper care I expect this thing might be my companion for multiple decades of shaving to come

 Even the size 3 rarely gives me any burn or nicks (and only because I was careless). Since I shave regularly I haven't found myself needing anything above the 3, but I'm glad to have the higher options in case I grow my beard out again. That said, if you're shaving regularly and staying basic you probably only need to buy the 2C version of this razor.

 This Rockwell razor was what got me to take a second look at using a safety. The craftsmanship is on-point! With the proper care I expect this thing might be my companion for multiple decades of shaving to come.
