The Core i5-1135G7 is tailor-made for thin and light laptops — despite the “Pro” moniker, this Galaxy Book is not designed for intense professional workloads, and the lack of a discrete GPU means it’s not a good choice for gaming. But it is just fine for someone like me who spends most of their time hopping around a couple dozen Chrome tabs with the occasional Zoom call or Spotify stream over top. I never heard fans or felt any kind of heat, even when I was running the device on Battery Saver. 

A great laptop at the right size

Performance for day-to-day is fine. That said, battery life is still far behind the ARM based MacBooks, Chromebooks, and even the Qualcomm based Galaxy S Book (there's both an intel and a ARM version). Video gets around 8-9 hours, but light productivity gets only 5-7, depending on workload.

The Samsung Galaxy Book Pro 360 also impresses with its high battery performance. In a class comparison with 13- to 14.5-inch notebooks and 2in1 devices, it is clearly in the top field. In summary, the Samsung convertible is an all-around good device

Been  looking for a laptop for a long time. Found the galaxy book S, intel  version. What do you think about this? I like the fanless design, super  lightweight, premium build quality, etc.

My  only concern is that I live in Australia, and I need to order this from  Samsung US. The one on sale in Australia is the qualcomm processor  which I don't want, I prefer the Intel instead.

Trying to decide between (1)Samsung Galaxy Pro 360, (2)Surface Laptop 4, and (3)Dell XPS 13 (assuming similarly spec'd i7, 16/512GB) that will last through 4 years of college living on campus.

Thin/lightness of Galaxy vs higher resolution 3:2 display of Surface 4 vs 16:10 display/potentially more replaceable parts of XPS.

Looking at it more from usability and longevity perspective rather than tech spec/bargain.  Trying to help someone decide on a laptop who's going to college in the fall.  Liberal arts major.

Any thoughts?
