 And then there is a ambient noise reducer as well. I typically don't have this on because there's not a whole lot of noise up here when I'm using the headphones. But that's something you can turn on. It has a couple different settings you can play with

 So like with most of these gaming headsets, I'm not a huge fan of how it sounds. That's something I've been critical with with a lot of other headsets as well. It's no different with the Sennheiser GSP 670. They call it a broad cast quality microphone, but it just doesn't sound that great for a more natural voice reproduction, which is what I'm usually looking for for a microphone

 So with Bluetooth, obviously you can connect to a phone or any other device, and that's really good in theory, but in actual practice, it's not as useful as what I thought it was going to be. It takes it a little bit to actually make the adjustment in the headset so you can you know hear what it sounds like. And then there is a ambient noise reducer as well. I typically don't have this on because there's not a whole lot of noise up here when I'm using the headphones

 Despite the largely black and dark gray color scheme, it's easy to tell what this headset is designed for. It has a very large profile and an equally huge microphone, so it's definitely not a subtle headset. When you put it on, you can see just how wide the profile of these are. I mean, it's a pretty large gaming headset

As I'm looking at retiring this headset soon, I realized I am about to be embarking on another mission to find a headset that matches my needs - which is often a $1000+ endeavor as I buy tons of headsets that aren't comfortable.

My head is one chonky sunuvabitch and I have big ears to go with it. People often say 'try headset X, I have a big head and it's perfect for me'.  I have come to the conclusion that these people don't know that their head isn't big.  Finding a comfortable headset that doesn't crush my head and squish my ears has always been a total nightmare

I'm hoping to shorten the pain of the transition period by coming to you fine people and ask : Big head people, do you have a headset that might meet my needs?

I use my headphones for work and well as gaming. As I often end up using them for 12-14 hours with only short breaks, I need something that I can wear comfortably for very long sessions.

The GSP 670 is Sennheiser's top-of-the-line gaming headset, with a $319 price and a beefier build than the GSP 370. It also offers Bluetooth connectivity, so you can use it with your phone as well as your PC and PlayStation 4

 Well, hello there. Where'd you come from? It don't matter. It's about where I'm going. Well, I don't really need a new mouse right now

 And lastly battery life. So it's not the best but it's not terrible Sennheiser claims up to 20 hours and in my continuous usage at max volume I got about 16 hours so I guess I'll be fine but the good thing is the standby time on this thing is amazing up to 30 days and the headset shuts off by itself when there's no audio coming through so nice battery savings built in by default. So for conclusion I would say the GSP670 is the best sounding wireless headset currently out in the market right now but it's not for everybody as you can see the fit is a bit ridiculous and might not fit larger heads that have maybe a little bit more square. Software needs work despite having a lot of cool features and also not having a physical toggle between 2

 Alright, so in usual Sennheiser fashion, accessories are null. All you get is a wireless dongle and a micro-USB charging cable. These are PC and PS4 compatible with a 2-year warranty, and in case you needed bank account clearing, these are right for the job at $350. But can we just talk about the new wonderful black color design with a few titanium hints all around the earcups? Gone is the red and black colors came from the previous GSP lineup, now it's this kind of discreet all matte black, beautiful pair

 So, here's a fun fact, I've had the wonderful GSP 670 in my possession since Computex, so over a month now and Sennheiser makes great audio hardware, but software? Not so much. I haven't actually been able to use this pair because of BSODs and nasty audio distortions. The driver software was even crashing my video editing programs like DaVinci Resolve when you plug in the USB port and the CPU usage for the drivers was over 15%. But all that has been resolved with a new, final, stable release of the software

Headset for everything?

I bought a pair of $40 KOSS headphones back in 2012. They lasted until 2018. I thought $40 was a good price point. I've been through 5-6 pairs in the last 3 years

 Since moving to the USB ports in the front of the PC, I haven't heard any interference at all. This is so crisp.  These are reasonably comfortable, they sound good, and the mic sounds really nice. They feel well-built as well

 It's really weird how the PC identifies this headset. You might have to click around and see what works in your setup.  The dongle cant be behind the PC case. You need line-of-sight between your headset and dongle or you will get static

Nicely built, but frustrating to use

 Final thoughts, they're a little bit on the heavier side. They are what, 398 grams. They look ridiculous, but I'm more of a function over form kind of guy. So if they had the mic quality I was looking for and looked like this, I wouldn't care

 So gaming headsets, not something I usually like to cover on this channel. And I'll admit, I didn't even want to do this one here, but Sennheiser agreed to send over the GSP 670s for us to take a look at. And there's only one reason I'm even remotely interested in this review. And that's because of the fact that they're saying, broadcast quality microphone over wireless

 They look ridiculous, but I'm more of a function over form kind of guy. So if they had the mic quality I was looking for and looked like this, I wouldn't care. But for $350, it's hard to justify this. If you want to use this for live streaming or gaming, it's probably fine for comms, but I think even with the quality headsets that you have now coming out in the market, with better microphone quality than this because of the limitation of wireless, it's probably worth looking at some other options

 I will leave that to the people who understand those charts and are true audiophiles. What I wanna test right here and I'm focusing purely on is the microphone quality. Now they say that there is a studio grade drivers in here with all the 10 to 23,000 Hertz range or all that sort of stuff. But what I wanna, like I said, actually test on this is going to be the microphone quality

This was ALMOST the best gaming headset... Until...

Got the Sennheiser GSP 670.  I wouldn't recommend on the basis that the software it comes with is terrible, which is called EPOS.  Every now and then it just decides to not work.  The headset itself is very nice and comfortable, I wear glasses too and it's still nice to wear

  I was kind of leery of this product from the bad reviews and low rating, but it turned out mediocre.  1. Sound Quality - Excellent The sound is amazing on these.  2

After using these for awhile, the crackling sound will not go away, I've tried these with 3 different computer systems and the same, EPOS says the issue is with bluetooth connected while at the same time streaming HD audio, bluetooth using up the bandwidth that the audio needs, this is not the case, switching to the Fixed Latency mode instead of the Adaptive mode reduces the crackling alot, but it is still there, for a 320$ headphone we should not have to put up with this.  ok, if you turn volume on headset all the way up, then use PC to regulate volume, crackle is pretty much gone, even when connected to phone via bluetooth, I have heard the crackle very very intermittent, and quiet, nothing at all like with volume down. Unfortunately, even though the cables are clearly high quality, they're not braided and that does irk me just a little bit

 It could be useful for some, but I just don't think it works for my voice, in my opinion. The software also has a noise cancellation section for the mic, so I'm just gonna start like typing on my somewhat loud Cherry MX Brown keyboard while talking, and let's go ahead and switch over to 50%, and yeah, honestly, I don't hear a massive difference here, but when we do switch over to 100%, I can actually hear the software trying to do something. It's doing its best to cut out the background noise as much as possible, but in the process, I think it also makes my voice come through a lot more muffled and it just sounds a little icky. Then again, if noise cancellation is a big deal to you, then you probably already use software specifically built for it, like RTX Voice

 Though obviously don't try that at home. The only part of the like, full assembly that does take a little away from the overall premium build and aesthetics is the glossy plastic rings between the driver cups and the ear beams, as it's very easy to scuff those up, and that's exactly what I did the first day I got this thing. Big sad. The clear preset, which is the one you're listening to right now, is kind of the exact opposite of the warm preset, boosting the mid and high frequencies by quite a bit and dropping the bass almost way down
