 This is the Sony SRS XP12 Extra Bass Bluetooth Speaker. It costs Rs 3,990 and is definitely louder than its previous iteration, the XP10. However, the new model loses NFC connectivity, something the old one had. Still, for its price point, the XP12 is good enough to take along for a short poolside trip

So Im looking for nice looking BT speakers that will be used in beauty shop. I need to connect at least 4 of them to play the same music. Is there anything for a max 100$ each? I tried to find a list of the speakers that have the feature to connect more than 2 together but couldnt find it.

 Bought two to take advantage of the stereo function which also pretty nice. Lived through a handful of cookouts and various projects over 6 months.  Only one design issue in my opinion: if battery goes out while in stereo or double mode it tends to go crazy. For me it usually required a factory reset to link up again

SONY SRS XB12 review – small but strong

 Ironically enough, I can have a portable speaker. The quality is there for the most part at this price point. My problem is, it does not get loud enough.  Good luck listening to a podcast or older songs with this speaker

You could pair these but at that point you might as well buy a stereo portable speaker that is much louder and have a high sound quality

With a brand like Sony, you’d expect a high quality speaker even in a lower priced product. I work in a loud environment where I can’t wear headphones or earbuds. Ironically enough, I can have a portable speaker. The quality is there for the most part at this price point

Disappointed

 But when it comes to actual performance, even though Sony claims the XB12 has a 30 foot wireless range… in my testing I got as far as 90 feet so not bad at all. But more importantly this speaker has a stable wireless connection that has no problems going through multiple walls in the house which ultimately is what matters most. Now if you use the XB12 with an android device you're going to notice that there's going to be zero latency across the board when you're watching videos on your phone. Where as if you use the XB12 with an apple device you're going to notice that there's going to be a lot of latency when you're watching youtube videos and a slight latency when you're watching Netflix

 But I feel the XB12 is a great little indoor speaker cause over all it does sound pretty decent, it sounds full, and distortion isn't a problem at higher volumes. And I also noticed the XB12 manages to get slightly louder than the JBL Clip 3 which has been my go to podcast machine for the last year or so. But unlike the Clip 3, the XB12 can be paired up with another XB12 speaker so you can get left and right stereo sound going. But don't get it confused, the XB12 can not be paired up with Sony's other speakers like the XB22, XB32, or XB41

 Now if you use the XB12 with an android device you're going to notice that there's going to be zero latency across the board when you're watching videos on your phone. Where as if you use the XB12 with an apple device you're going to notice that there's going to be a lot of latency when you're watching youtube videos and a slight latency when you're watching Netflix. But like ive mentioned in the past, Sony speakers typically work better with android devices. Even the XB12 even though it doesn't have NFC pairing or LDAC support

 Now this speaker has an advertised battery life of 16 hours… but thats with the volume set at 50% which I feel is borderline unusable. So realistically with the volume set at 80% we're looking at a battery life of around 7 hours. Which honestly isn't that bad for this little guy. But just like Sony's other speakers as soon as the XB12 gets down to 20% battery its now going to let you play music past 50% volume until you charge it back up again
