If you like the SOUNDBOKS (Gen. 3) but aren't ready to splurge on it, check out the SOUNDBOKS Go. This portable Bluetooth speaker is designed to look like a smaller, more portable version of the (Gen. 3). While it doesn't get as loud, it still gets incredibly loud, reaching a maximum volume level of up to 106.6dB, which is still more than enough to fill your space with sound. It's also a bit less than half the size of the (Gen. 3) and comes with a removable carrying strap, so you can bring the party wherever you go with a lot more ease.

The speaker has a V-shaped sound profile that's similar to the (Gen. 3) in many respects. You enjoy clear voices and lead instruments in the mids, with extra sparkle and brightness in the treble to emphasize higher-pitched sounds. There's some added punch in the high-bass, too. That said, given that it isn't as big as the (Gen. 3), it's not much of a surprise that it can't reproduce as much low-bass. You won't feel as much rumble with EDM tracks or hip-hop&mdash;but for the price, it still does a really good job.

 They have all these different Things it's pretty cool and it tells you what to do You can buy their mic all that other good stuff and different designs They have faceplates if you want to buy a faceplates on their website and all that man There's a lot actually, but yeah, you have all these different design stuffs and they're all instruction manuals So when it comes to the battery life, you're gonna be getting 40 hours out of this speaker. That's at like Halfway, so it goes to 11 so I have volume like five or six You can get 40 hours of playtime But max volume if you like for the party have a party going you can get 10 hours out of this speaker And that's really good 10 hours for the volume that this puts out is amazing And then let's say worst-case scenario you get seven eight hours It's still really really good that you don't get that much with this much power So speaking of the battery life, you can't switch out the batteries switch them in switch them out Inside joke inside joke. So one thing about the battery that's really good Yeah, you get 40 hours out of it and it does last 10 hours on max But you can buy a spare battery and then you can have two batteries. So basically you get 20 hours on the go If you buy another battery so you can switch them in and switch them out and then keep playing keep rocking all night Another option is you can connect the little t charger cord right here, which is the wrong side so you connect this right here, you'll connect this into your Your power break right there and then that's when you connect the end into the speaker You know connect it up and then plug it into the wall now when you do this They say only play at half volume So make sure you only play that five the number five and that's it when you have it connect like that Don't play it on full blast So that this is basically your last resort or your chill option at home or something and then on the sides here You have different levels

They have a bass one and then a power one I normally use the power preset but then also you can customize it and there's a little button right there you hold it You can go into the customization and get the sound that you want from there you can also click and switch the modes of your device to hosting to join and all that so you can control all your speakers and when you can connect multiple of them It makes a whole party of them together that you can control with the main host speaker So this one's controlling all of them the app will let you control this which would talk to the rest So you can do all those things in their app Their app is pretty good too when it comes to the EQs gives you a lot of options to control Frequencies to where you want

IS THIS THE BEST PARTY SPEAKER? | Soundboks Go

  So overall, the SB GO is a cool speaker by design. No, it does not get as loud as the Soundboks 2 as they claim and it doesn't have near the bass capability or sound quality. And these two speakers are the same price, BTW. So unless you absolutely have to have a smaller cabinet size, pass on the Go and maybe opt for the Soundboks 3, which is currently on sale for $899

 The Soundboks GO struggles with bass, particularly in the Bass+ EQ mode. It will get distorted at higher volume levels and, for some odd reason, Bass+ mode also increases the treble to near ear-bleeding harshness. The speakers has a kind of hollow or boxy sound to it. This could be due to this being an all plastic designed cabinet

 At lower volume the GO sounds like a $50 speaker, just lousy.  The speaker itself really isn't small by any stretch. It's a bulky, all plastic design that is kind of heavy to lug around very long. It is , of course, more portable than the Soundboks 2 & 3, which was the goal I would assume

 These speakers are plenty loud. They hurt your ears loud. So, that's just one thing I just want to highlight, that they're going to be loud enough. Now, the next thing we're going to do is we're going to play some bass, and we'll play that track first with standard bass, and then we'll do the bass, the bass plus

 They are very loud for such a small, I would say, footprint compared to its bigger sibling. And that was a standard, right? So, that was not using the bass plus. So, what we're going to do is we're going to switch to bass plus, and we're going to do this one more time and see if you can tell the difference. Let's go and start it up

 So, if you're looking for that punch and you're looking for something that's going to be bass heavy, well, it's definitely there. All right. So, now this next test is going to include both speakers teamed up, and this is going to be in bass boost mode. This is going to be epic

 Now, while the SoundBox Go does not have these little rubber feet that it has on all sides, or these little rubber half-cut balls, one of the things it does have is, all the way around, you have this rubberized protective border that appears on both sides. That, with this strap, this nylon strap in the middle, that also supports a strap, or a shoulder strap, that you can use to carry this. You'll notice that the SoundBox Go does have this team ID that's also found in the SoundBox Gen 3, and this is what you'll use to identify each one of the speakers, and the team ID allows you to connect the speakers together. So, while we have the SoundBox Go here and the Gen 3 on the bottom, both of them can be connected so that you can hear music from both of them at the same time

They sound fantastic and I cannot wait to get them out at burning man… but one of the batteries will only charge up to 80% and I haven’t heard back from soundboks about replacing it… stay tuned.

My 4th and 5th soundboks products

 All of these other speakers that I mentioned in this video are using noticeably softer plastics which are much easier to scratch up and they have very thin metal grills which are very easy to bang up. Where as the Soundbox Go it can take anything you throw at it. And sound wise the Soundbox Go gets louder than both the Partybox 310 and XP 700 even while they're plugged in, while being half their size. However, the Go just doesn't have as much bass as these other two speakers

 Since the Go is really putting its tweeter to work it can sound very bright and flat at lower volumes. And at higher volumes even though the Go sounds balanced with a good amount of bass it still leans towards a brighter sound signature. But nonetheless you do want to use this speaker while outdoors just so that it has room to stretch its legs. And besides, this speaker is designed to be used outdoors and off grid

 Now in this video we're mainly going to focus on the Soundbox Go and I'll more directly compare the Go to these other speakers in the versus videos.  You don't have to have two of the same speakers to get left over stereo sound going like you do with a lot of other brands out there. And over all Soundbox's speaker pairing protocol is fine. Its easy enough to use, you can do everything from the app itself, you have a good amount of customization options to choose from, it always just works and I never have any syncing issues while the speakers are going. But with all that being said, the Soundbox Go definitely delivers on its promises

I have to say that I’ve been unimpressed by the Bluetooth speakers on the market today, because they are never loud enough. Well that’s not a problem anymore with the SOUNDBOKS Holy cow can this thing crank. To be fair the SOUNDBOKS is a lot bigger then your every day Bluetooth speaker. The SOUNDBOKS is approximately 2’ tall 14” wide and 6” thick with a massive battery, so your talkin maybe 20-25 lb speaker

C and love having the ability to pick this up and take it to the park, rooftop, bar or wherever we go! The bass hits, there are three modes: indoors, power, and bass+. They all sound good with indoors being the most tame, and bass+ being all out! We love playing this and “cutting through the noise” as the tag lines say! You feel and hear the bass even outdoors in large spaces which was important to me! Playing in large open areas next to monuments you tend to lose sound in the traffic, people, etc. but this baby bumps!  If you’re looking for something that is portable, powerful, and great quality this speaker is a great way to go! I have also in the past purchased a Bose S1 Pro which I ultimately returned due to lack of sound and bass!  All in all, I believe you will be happy with your purchase!

I’ll start by saying I did a ton research on this speaker. Watched hours of videos and read ton of reviews, which tend to be mixed.  Here is my view, as someone who loves to feel the music and have great quality of build, materials, and sound the SOUNDBOKS GO is a great investment. Yes, I say investment because it is a pretty penny but will most certainly last! It also get consistent firmware updates that help improve on features, connection, and sound quality!  I use this primarily outdoors and on my rooftop! I play on a kickball league in Washington D

Ready to party on the go?

We've used this SOUNDBOKS Go speaker at almost a dozen different events since receiving it. From work conferences inside hotels to anniversary parties hosted in outdoor gazebos, this speaker gets loud without sacrificing sound quality (I don't even go past 70% volume most of the time).  Performance wise, I've never run out of battery while using it but that's due to recharging it after a full day event.  Bluetooth works great for iPhone 11 Pro and Samsung S21 over bluetooth 5

 Like how there is an app that you can download so you can control the different modes and also control the volume.
