These over-ears offer some customization features, which will please most users. They support customizable RGB lighting along their ear cups, so you can adjust them to suit your tastes. These over-ears have a comfortable fit, thanks to their ski-band headband design. However, this design can cause inconsistencies in audio delivery due to fit, position, and seal, so it's important to take the time to correctly fit them on your head. Although they have a closed-back design, their soundstage feels wide and somewhat open.  The Nova 3 works wonderfully with PC and PS5 but even though it's not stated here it does also work with an Xbox by plugging the 3.5mm adapter into the base of the controller. Taking a look at the design you may notice a bit of a sidestep in the overall look compared to the previous iteration. Gone are the smooth rectangular looking earpieces now replaced with a more circular look sporting the SteelSeries logo in the middle

 With the flexibility of the microphone it's also easy to place it at the right distance from your mouth for less distortion and the quality is still nice and clean perfect for game chat. As you can hear this is what the microphone input sounds like on the Arctis Nova 3. It's very clear and I think your teammates will have no trouble picking up your voice.  So if you're on PC, let's go ahead and set up your Nova 3s with Sonar. Go ahead and open up the GG app and on the left-hand side, select the Sonar tab. Under your game and chat playback options, you're going to want to select headphones, Arctis Nova 3, and then for your microphone input, select microphone, Arctis Nova 3. Now the last thing you're going to need to do is select Sonar as your default device for your Windows sound settings

 As well, we've brought back our Air Reve memory foam ear cushions that were available on the Arctis line of headsets. The Nova 3 is also going to use our new Comfort Max system with four points of adjustability. This is going to include a 90 degree turn for the ear cups, as well as a traditional tilt to align perfectly with your head. And now we're using a singular elastic band that can be adjusted via these knobs on the inside of the headband right above the ear cups

 If it's not already selected, you'll get this error at the top of your screen. All you need to do is click the error and it'll set Sonar as your default device for you. Okay, so from here, you can adjust your volume for game and chat separately. As well, we have a chat mix dial under them where you can have more of the game value come through or your chat, depending on your preference, as well as your master volume and the volume for your microphone

SteelSeries Arctis Nova 3 Unboxing and Setup

 I've ran everything from my Indie playlists to Heavy Metal to Classical to Hip Hop to House to Blues to Rap and they all sound fantastic. There is a program you can download to Equalize the headset and fine tune it. I already have an EQ program I like, so I tested out the Factory Setting and am pleased. For gaming, the 3D Sound is pretty convincing

 The Mic has a Red/Green light on it to let you know when the mic is hot. The "Noise Cancellation" on the Microphone surprised me at how good it worked. I had the microphone right up to the fan of my 3D printer and the headset was able to remove the whirs and hums and broadcast only my voice without any artifacts or distortions.  The build quality

 Not the best, but if you haven't tried it before this would be a great first impression.  The Microphone is great too. Its in an easy to reach and unobtrusive location right on the headset, so there's no pain looking for Mic like on sets where its removable. The MUTE button is big and easy to press, the volume wheel is nice and stiff, though I much prefer to use my keyboard for volume

I love headsets. I've have quite a few that I use in my rotation for different needs and purposes and the SteelSeries Arctis Nova 3 have earned themself a spot in that collection.  This headset has great sound, its crisp and clear. The lows are hefty and the highs are sharp

Excellent Choice for Gaming and Long Listening Sessions

I can say this are the best headphones that i ever own!.

 It means that you don't have to compromise on sound to get the features you want or stay within your budget. They sound particularly good when using them with the sonar spatial audio and of course they're fully compatible with the PS5's 3D audio. Okay device compatibility. Via USB they'll work with the typical list of USB devices so PC, Mac, PS4, PS5, the switch and USB-C phones

 It's a wired headset that costs less than half of what the 7P Plus does and while it is missing many of the bells and whistles found on the 7P Plus it does deliver the same stellar sound quality. The Nova 3 isn't SteelSeries cheapest headset mind you. The Nova 1 comes in at about $50 less Australian and in terms of audio quality they share the same drivers as the Nova 3 and sound identical. So what's the difference between the two and more importantly what do you get for the extra money? The main difference between the Nova 1 and 3 is that the Nova 3 allows you to connect them via either a standard 3

 Earlier this year I took a look at the SteelSeries Arctis 7P+. It's SteelSeries mid-range wireless headset and a pretty good option if you're looking for a comfortable and decent sounding wireless solution. At $400 Australian though or thereabouts they are sitting in the more pricey end of the spectrum and if wireless isn't an essential feature you might be wondering if there's a more affordable option that doesn't compromise on sound quality. Well wonder no more, this is essentially what the SteelSeries Nova 3 is

 It's probably the most discreet mic I've seen on a headset so far. To use it you just pull it out and position it. They're very light at just 253 grams and I've found that they're barely noticeable while wearing them. There's plenty of extension in the headband but adjusting them requires quite a bit of force

  Retractable microphone is something I didn't know I wanted until this headset.  Even the software (Steel series GG) for it is nice. I was a bit afraid of downloading it because I still have a Logitech mouse and camera and I've heard they can sometimes not get along (though that may just be Razer), but I've had no problems yet.  All in all I have no complaints yet
