Even though I’d rather spend about $400ish on a turntable, I understand that I may have to increase my budget to maybe around $600 for the best quality for the best price. 


A turntable that was suggested to me was the Project Debut Carbon Evo, is this truly the best option that fits my requirements (shown in the next paragraph)? The best price I can find is $600 on ttl lab, is there anywhere that’s selling it for less or maybe on a sale?


Here’s my list of requirements for a turntable: Has to have the color white has an option, has to be less than $700, has to work well with the Andover Audio spin base, has to be a big improvement from the AT LP120X (what I have now).

My Dreams of Getting A Uturn Orbit Are Dead, Is the Project Debut Carbo Evo A Good Option?

I should preface by stating that I own about 20 vintage turntables, and am comparing this to them. I build custom turntables for my Etsy site, Poodlini, which is why I bought this, for a future build-up. This U-Turn looks nice and modern, and I plan to build a custom, exotic wood base to compliment it.  The positives: if you are new to vinyl, this is a really simple, easy way to get into it with little fuss, muss or expense

 Even though I am a fan of the vintage turntable, this is actually pretty attractive and elegant in its simplicity. Sound quality wise, it is probably the equal to anything in its price class, if not better.  The negatives: dust cover hinges are really, really cheap and don’t even hold dust cover up. They aren’t even true hinges, just some plastic bendy things that bend at the thin spot in the middle

 The turntable is very simple to setup and operate and looks great. Clean, simple and basic usually equates to fewer problems and introduced noise into the music signal. Even though I am a fan of the vintage turntable, this is actually pretty attractive and elegant in its simplicity. Sound quality wise, it is probably the equal to anything in its price class, if not better

U-Turn Orbit is a $200 turntable that lacks user adjustable anti-skate, the cue lever is an extra $40, and adding options to increase the price does not make the turntable or tonearm any better. Pass.

I’m thinking of upgrading from my atlp60xbt lp gear stylus soon. I’m interested in the U-turn Orbit, Fluance Rt series and others of in the sub $500 available turntable in current availability of new turntables out there.

Well packaged and arrived on time. This turntable was easy to set up, it only took about 2 minutes. The audio quality is awesome.

 I would buy another one.  For those wanting a little more meat on the bone: I decided to add a turntable and vinyl back in to my music room. I have been digital only for so long I can't remember the last time I spun a record. But, the combination of nostalgia and the desire to have all kinds of music available to me lured me back to where it all started : LP records

 The heavy machined all acrylic platter spins effortlessly and the queuing feature allows a gentle and accurate drop on to the record surface. The cartridge is pre-balanced and the tracking and all those funky adjustments come set direct from the factory.  I don't know what qualifies as "audiophile" anymore since the term has been butchered by fanboys of all stripes. This table would qualify as a device with better quality manufacture and parts than the consumer stuff you'd see at a Best Buy (ie Audio Technica and those like it)

 I had a small issue with my belt and Ben Herch at Uturn Audio's customer support called me right back and gave me guidance and a fix.  I have enjoyed the sound. The table looks the part of a serious piece of audio gear. I would buy another one should I have the need

If I’m looking to spend around 250 on a turntable what we be a good beginner option? I saw that people don’t really like the lp60x

This TT sounds amazing and it's backed by a great group of people.  I hadn't listened to vinyl in many years, but I remember one of my friend's setups from way back when. The sound vinyl produces is so rich and full compared to digital formats. While a million times more convenient, the digital copies sound fine, but until I listened to some familiar music again on this TT, I forgot what I gave up for the convenience

 I bought several brand new LPs to play on this TT, and I didn't play any of the scratchy old ones I had laying around. The sound from this TT is superior.  At first I was very happy. However, I noticed a problem developing soon after: after about 15 minutes of listening there would come a distortion in the mid-range and it wouldn't go away until I let the TT "rest" for 20 minutes or so

While a million times more convenient, the digital copies sound fine, but until I listened to some familiar music again on this TT, I forgot what I gave up for the convenience. Ok, so I'm looking to get my wife her first record player as she's getting into synthwave and classic vinyl. I've been looking around at various "budget" turntables and there seems to be a solid variety out there. We have a Samsung home theatre receiver so preamp/power shouldn't be a problem I think. Looking at a budget of $300 - $500 Canadian and I would like to get it within the next month or so. Which Turntable should I buy from this list?

 hear the difference between this table and the $50 I used to have. Is it worth the extra money? If you're going to spend some time in the stacks searching out good vinyl, run it through a good set of speakers and savor it like a great meal, then yes, it's money well spent. If however, you want to impress your friends talking about 'the warmth of vinyl' while you sit squished in a pair of skinny jeans.
