I'm old-fashioned and take my notes for work and class in pen and notebook. The problem is almost every pen/ink I've tried gets all over the ridge of my hand, and by the end of an intense note-taking session, there's ink everywhere. Even pens advertised as "smear-proof" fail their promise.

It doesn't rub off from my hand onto anything else and washes off easily, but it's unsightly. Any suggestions?

Assume budget doesn't matter for now, but I will be writing with these a lot so cost-effective solutions are appreciated.

Best smear-proof pen/ink?

Not sure if this really counts as a haul , but first time ordering from **Jetpens** and couldn't be happier. Outstanding service. Apologies for the messy tablecloth , had been potting on seedlings.

I've been wanting to try out the Pilot Hi-Tec C and the Coleto series for a while, and had heard good things about the jetstream pens too. Must say i'm impressed.

The two Uni Jetstream multi pens are 0.38 and 0.5 because i couldn't decide... and the Coleto bodies are a 5 clear, 4 black, 3 clear, and a 2 clear

Hi all, i've been on the look for a pen that will be used to mainly write notes and essays. 

I want something that is light, thin, cheap, lasts long and writes fast. I've so far experimented with many pens but i find that rollerball pens are expensive, bulky and their ink runs out quickly whereas ball point pens are the complete opposite and i find the ink doesn't flow enough, leaving my writing faded and incomplete. 

so far the best pens i have found is either the muji 0.5 pen (however they run out of ink faster than i can order them on amazon) and the uni ball jetstream 101 1.0
