All I can say from my experience is I actually compared this to a speaker I reviewed recently. I ain't going to say no names, but I will do an actual head to head video here in the next week or so, man

W-King X10 Review | MASSIVE BOOM!

I'm going to be working in a summer camp this summer in Hawaii and I'm not an audiophile by any means, so I want to bring a speaker that's less than 200$ and can blast bass-heavy songs without it sounding like trash. I have owned a JBL Charge 4 before and i loved it, but then i found out it's not actually quality sound? I'd like to own a speaker with the capabilities of a Charge 4 but with better bass and better audio quality in general. Basically a good speaker for rap that is loud with good bass but doesn't sound bad when turned up.

Looking for cheap, loud speaker

 for when your phone is by the speaker but you need a quick way to skip a track, pause, or adjust the volume.  Bluetooth connect: Yes, this device has a microphone and you can answer calls through it. But ask yourself if you really want to take a call where everyone in the room (and the next room over) can hear your conversation. Would be great to have the option to pair media or pair both media and calls

 Sound is great especially if you place it where you can get those passive radiators to resonate off some walls. If occasionally you need more than 70watts..

4a USB generic charger).  Aux-In jack: Wait for the device to power up, and even bluetooth attach, THEN plug in the aux cable, and it will override the bluetooth connection and the 'blue' connected LED will turn green. No kidding.

Rugged little beast with great sound

Hey, recently I purchased two soundcore motion + speakers (since they were on sale at £70, the price drops from RRP every so often), for the price what I can say is you're not going to get anything better in its class, there's the motion boom which from what I've heard is a little better (however it is fairly large and heavy in comparison, and is missing an aux port). 

Using a custom eq preset (through the soundcore app) the speaker sounds amazing, considering the size of the speakers the bass is very good (frequency response is noticeably good), 2 of them is really something else. I listen mainly to deep house and rap/hip-hop and am very satisfied with the sound quality.

If you want to throw one or even two of them into your backpack it's no hassle (tried myself).  Each speaker only weighs 1.05KG (about 2.3 pounds) so portability is not an issue. 

However, the speaker doesn't come without its flaws. The rubber/plastic material used for the shell is very sensitive to fingerprints and scratches appear somewhat easily (however I find that they come off with ease by cleaning them, so it's not a big deal). 
The second is the distortion at high volumes, the bass is somewhat distorted when listening to bassy tracks at full volume (I believe it happens at around 80-90%+ volume, depends on the type of track you're listening to, but it's not significant and expected due to its size, I never push above 50% on one speaker anyways since they're so loud.
The final issue is the lack of a carrying strap/handle, however it's not a big deal since it's easy to carry in a backpack (suited to your use, as you mentioned this in one of your comments), and it's a sacrifice I don't mind due to the speaker's size.

The problems mentioned are for the most part non-issues, they wouldn't stop me from buying the speakers.

Considering I was able to get two of these for less than the price of a JBL charge 5, I am very impressed and fully recommend them to anyone looking for an excellent value bluetooth speaker. For a more in depth review I recommend looking for Alan Ross on YouTube. His reviews were very helpful in my search for a new set of speakers.

The usual suggestion. For a MUCH better speaker for much less money (and true stereo too, none of that mono horsehit everyone seems to be peddling now) get either a Soundcore motion+ (for high fidelity and balanced sound) or the Soundcore motion boom (for deeper bass but not as even across the soundstage). Of fact both of these are so affordable you can buy two of them for the same price as one of the others and have an INCREDIBLE stereo pair. It changed my life camping. Incredible stereo pair with two motion+’s

I got the jbl charge 3 probably like 2 years ago which got static problems and I got a new one with warranty last year but now I’m getting the static on the replacement and the warranty is up. 

I’m looking to buy a new speaker under $200. Been looking at the jbl charge 5 and UE Megaboom 3. Any suggestions on which I should get or any other options?

Deciding on new bluetooth speaker for this winter. Need help

 Maybe one day the technology will arrive. Until then, I'll probably keep reading reviews and testing the hype. For a speaker of this size, it is very good quality for $100. Just don't expect it to shake the walls or thump your chest when the bass hits

For a Bluetooth speaker of this size and around $100, I'm not sure that you could find one with better sound quality or bass response. I purchased two X10's & they were much louder than I expected. The bass response was decent for a speaker of this size. However, it just didn't hit like I was expecting based on a lot of the reviews

Awesome sound quality for the money

For example, it destroys the JBL Charge 5 is overall volume and especially bass at high volumes. The only way to better it for around the same price, is with the W King X10. It was recently compared to all of the JBL Extreme models (1,2,and 3) and was louder and had more bass than every single one of them.

lacks few features

I would highly recommend the w-king x10, it's great for outdoor use, it sounds clear and and it gets very loud. only problem is it's not as good in bass as the motion boom, there's still bass but mainly upper bass but otherwise recommend it

I purchased an Anker Soundcore motion boom speaker about 8 months ago for use outdoors and have been in love with it: easy to pair, easy to charge, sounds great. 

At this point however I'm looking to upgrade to a pair that can be my full time backyard speakers. Ideally these would be:

* Weatherproof (good IPXX rating) so I can leave them outside in the rain and not worry about them
* At least as loud as the motion boom (30w)
* Able to be paired together (wireless stereo)

Scenarios these speakers would be used in:

* Hung up on hooks in a garden
* Hung up on hooks on a covered porch
* Hanging up under a pop up canopy

My initial thought was a pair of Wonderboom 2s but upon further review I don't think the weather/IP rating is where I want it to be at.
