ZMF Aeolus

ZMF Aeolus- Pretty great can, it honestly feels like a darker and more resolving HD650. Pairs beautifully with my Bottlehead Crack to give a relaxing and enjoyable listen. Focal Clear- Initially, was not too impressed with it but it grew on me with time. Superb clarity and just an amazing all-rounder.

My new ZMF Aeolus LTD. It's still pretty early to give impressions. But so far it's exactly what I wanted a.k.a. a better version of my trusty HD600s.

My ZMF Aeolus came in after a long couple months of waiting. They're everything I expected them to be and more. Built great, sound great. I have a couple other built in USA headphones in my collection.

4) Hifi Man Sundara’s I’ve used these with my tube amps and they’re surprisingly good but yeah I know that planars sound better with solid state amps. 5) ZMF Aeolus and Verite Closed I use these both with my Auris Euterpe tube amp and I love them both hehe. 6) Audeze LCD 2C’s I haven’t listened to these much since I got my gl2000s but they do still sound really good and I highly recommend them !. 7) Neumann ndh 20’s another headphone I use mainly with my tube amps and love them!

The Aeolus are a bit like a super Hd650 and they'll outperform all but the clear and hd800s where they're more or less on par but just a different flavor. The detail retrieval is probably closer to the level of the ananda than the clear or hd800s but it's a very euphonic, fun listening experience with great frequency response, deep bass extension, punchy mid bass, incredible full mids, and exciting but completely unfatiguing treble. And a big bonus is that pad swapping on ZMF can massively change the tuning to the direction of your preferred signature.

Got a pair of ZMF Aeolus headphones from /r/avexchange . Excellent condition. Easily the best headphones I've heard yet as compared to LCD-2C, HD800S, Sundara's, and Sendy Aiva's.

Only headphones I could say come close are the Fostex TH909 which is a more kinda neutral mid forward headphone. The Kenerton Vali which leaned more bassy and warm. The ZMF Aeolus, having a slightly more balanced FR, but I felt treble rolled off a little quick and dynamics felt a touch better on the Edition 11.
