Performance

But there are plenty of drawbacks that give me pause. Update: I ended up returning this laptop as the freezeups were happening more, even after I finished doing all of the windows/driver updates. Perhaps those will be fixed in future firmware patches, but I'd rather get a computer that functions "correctly" from day one. It's weird because as I mentioned, overall performance of this laptop is very impressive and far outshines my old 2 core macbook pro, but I don't have the same freezeups on the mac (running windows) - I imagine that this has something to do with lack of AMD drivers or something

Buy or Build PC for son interested in video editing and live streaming?

The hp pavilion isn't a good buy, very outdated and underpowered. The Lenovo is much better, more modern and more powerful, and importantly has a decent sized SSD rather than hard drive, this will make the computer much faster just on its own, and you can always add a hard drive for more storage for very cheap(not sure about US prices bit could get a good sized one for £60 in the UK).

I have the Pavilion 13" and it is by far the lightest laptop i've ever had. Its replacing a 14" Dell Latitude e7440 that has the FHD touchscreen and is my current work computer. .

Great, easy to use laptop

Really hate that 13" 1600 x 900 screen - it is just too small after 15.4" on HP, and I also have to run fonts on 150%. Still taking my time to hook it up as my main rig through dock and dual monitors. Mostly using it now through Remote Desktop when I need Win 7 / Visual Studio 2013

Battery Life

Great laptop for students on a budget!

The charger plug doesn’t fit nicely into the computer. I have to push it in harder than I would like to get it to charge, and I always worry that it’s going to break. However, the battery life is so great that I’ve only had to charge it once in the past three days. I’ll update later when I’ve spent more time with it

need Programming laptop

Battery life will last you 8-10 hours which is amazing so you don't have to be near a socket every hour. Performance is amazing on this laptop. With its powerful processor, you will have no problem when web browsing, multi-tasking, and programming.

Screen Resolution

Great computer!

The screen resolution is phenomenal. The setup could not have been easier. As with all Windows products, you have to disable Edge and Cortana but that is easy to do. I would highly recommend this computer
