All it needed was a totally new keyboard and faster processors

2GHz to get something done and then ramp it back down to 1.1GHz to preserve heat and battery life. This is a pretty normal strategy now.

Decent laptop hampered by a broken store

The ryzen 5850u is certainly a little beast of a CPU running on a 65W laptop. The 2.5k "low power" screen is the sweet spot for me. My fonts are super crisp, but I'm not wasting electrons on driving a 4k 13" monitor (which is silly)
