I'm just more at home with my Beyer DT990 Pros. Don't want to dampen anyone's enthusiasm about these. I'm just presenting the long and short of it as I hear it. YMMV

Seriously? For me, however, the dealbreaker was comfort. The housings on these things are very large and the clamping force is substantial. No matter how much I adjusted them, the pads on the housings pressed hard on the back of my ears and the bottom rear of my jaw, and I found that I could wear them for much more than thirty minutes before I have to take them off. This may have to do with the fact that the ear cup housings do not rotate at all, they are fixed perpendicular to the headband, and thus there's no compensation for pressure differences from the front to the back of the ear cups against your head/ears

I think if someone had a little bit of a smaller head than mine they might not get as much or any pain since for me it was just a slight dull pain on the top part of my ear. Value for money: I can only give the value a rating equal to the lowest rating I marked. I paid around $215 for them to replace a pair of headphones that I paid $170 for, and I would rate those headphones higher than these. But for overall value for my personal use I believe that these could be a good pair of travel headphones or maybe something I don't use for long periods such as listening to music or watching a movie on my phone
