In fact, I'm so happy with the quality of the sound (which blows away my next nicest pair) that I'm already looking forward to finding something new. My setup is simple: Schiit Stack (Magni 3+ & Modi). I currently own: Audio Technica M50x (my first baby), Sennheiser HD 6XX, and the DT 1990s.

Note: I am a tough reviewer and I am going to be looking at this from a music listening perspective. Pros: -Comfort I feel that they are very comfortable. The clamping force is not too much and not too little for me. The headband is made out of a leather type material (I don't know if its real leather or leatherette), but it is very comfortable

The 1/4 plug size matched the headphone amplifier outputs that are part of my system so felt that this was an O.K. trade.

At a higher price point the main thing I look for in headphones is build quality. Sound doesn't mean anything if they're going to break, and parts wear out over time. Beyerdynamic has made a very solid product here. Replaceable ear pads and head band are a nice feature, I just wish the cable was detachable

I used these things mercilessly for 15 years, gaming and even sleeping with them on. They still work like new. You cannot go wrong with Sennheiser HD6xx or 58x series cans.

They're not the best looking headphones (big, bulky and flimsy carrying bag) but the sound is the most important thing for me. Decided noise cancellation was only nice on an airplane, and I preferred wired, donl't have to turn on or charge. If you have eyeglasses or hearing aides like I do, these are perfact. Yes I have expensive Sony noise canceling blue tooth, but the HD5XX are just in a different class, use all day, gaming, general listening. Plugged directly into Gigabyte Z690 Master mobo, no need for a DAC/amp here
