The speaker manages not to sound thin overall, however, with some reasonable bass response and body to this track. At top volumes, the driver manages not to distort even when the enclosure vibrates powerfully.

At more moderate volumes, the bass depth sounds thicker, but this is not a speaker capable of producing subwoofer-like depth. It makes up for it by pushing out the lows and low-mids with the help of the passive radiators.

Also worth mentioning: The Go 3 uses upgraded Bluetooth 5.1 while the Go 2 uses Bluetooth 4.1. Additionally, the Go 3's water resistance is IPX 67, not IPX 7

Don't knock the bluetooth speaker -- even a small investment like that can make a huge difference. I travel a ton for work and I bought a modestly priced JBL Flip 2 years ago for my laptop. Won't travel without it now, and definitely BIFL as it's taken a real beating. I watch movies and stream from my hotel room in beautiful sound

It's interesting how the BICs are pretty close to the opposite of the JBLs, which are literal textbook examples of modern affordable loudspeaker design. If you read and worshipped every page of Toole's book and enlisted a major multinational to build a set of $300 speakers following those principles, the JBL 3-series is what you would create within that price constraint. The JBLs have compact cabinets, active crossovers, godlike waveguides for perfect off-axis behavior, and objectively correct frequency response honed by DSP. The BICs are the opposite in nearly every regard

Battery is great and portability is also a plus. Good design, sturdy and compact which aids in literally every form of shenanigans one wants to get into 👍🏻

The only thing I dont like is the instruction manuel print way to small. I couldn't even read the booklet with my glasses.

Love the speaker for what it is! Price is awesome and the sound quality is there! Bass is good for the size. My one problem is that the “JBL” lettering on the front came off and the stoppers on the bottom! Disappointed in the glue used to stick to the speakers fabric body and had to put tape over the letters. Other than that, it’s a perfect for travel and literally sticking in your pocket or attaching to your backpack. It’s worth it for a tight budget and you still want some quality sound!

Bottom line, research Tribit and Trelab for speakers as good for half the price. Or spend the $ on Klipsch for good audio engineering, not waterproofness.
