 So overall, I think it's a pretty nice sounding microphone. I Thought it sounded very usable on the electric, on the acoustic and the voice and I also absolutely loved the fact that it has dual functionality as a USB microphone or an XLR microphone. On the other hand, it does seem to pick up a little bit more background noise than I would prefer. So I would recommend picking up acquired or keyboard and maybe throwing some audio treatment on your walls

The choise is betwin 2 blue snowballs or 1 blue yeti. i think 2 snowballs could be more confortable for 2 persons so they can be more relaxed while talking, but 1 yeti maybe could be better using the omnidirectional mode so i put the mic in the middle of the table and more tan two can talk. What do you recomend?

 The reason why I don't like using these in front of my computer is because if you need to put it right in front of you, it's going to be right where the keyboard is. You might be asking yourself whether there's a difference in the sound quality of going to the Xlr or the Usb, or if it just sounds the same coming out of the Usb or the Xlr. Well, this whole time I've been talking, I've actually been showing you down at the bottom the differences in the signal between the Usb and the Xlr and can you tell the difference? One of the biggest questions I had about using this for something like a zoom call or a video podcast that was remote was the issue of audio latency and if it did occur using this with something like a webcam or the camera on my computer, I would ask the people that I was talking to whether it be on Zoom or Skype or any of those programs if they saw any latency between my visual feed and this microphone and they didn't notice anything on their end. So from my personal experience, I haven't had any issues with audio latency using this microphone as a Usb microphone instead of something that was connected to my computer

 I wouldn't really use this unless you were doing something like a podcast exclusively. I would mainly stay with something like a Boom Arm if you're somebody that's going to be creating a lot of content in front of your computer.  Where this microphone really shines is when you start to push it in terms of Eq and compression because the amount of information in there, it just has a bunch of clarity and other things that you can bring out by adding Eq and compression. Here's the Shure Sm7b with audio processing and here's the Sure Sm7b without audio processing. Here's the Audio Technica with some audio processing. There's compression, eq, a noise gate, maybe a little bit of de-noise going on

 when you put this on the table further away from you, you're not going to get the most out of your microphone as if it were right in front of your face. Now this is for people that are okay with having the microphone in the shot if you're using this microphone for video. but if you're using this microphone for podcasting or any other type of audio only format, then you don't really have to worry about that. And I would really encourage you to get the microphone as close as possible to you with that foam filter on there

I am happy with the Audio Technica AT2005USB mic. It's USB but also has the XLR jack if you want to use that later.

What “gaming” microphones should I consider? If I need a pop filter, boom arm or shock mount, which kind? Is USB better than XLR or vice-versa? I’m looking for one under $100 or a little over. And is Xbox compatible with USB mp’s now, or is that still broken? (Don’t have to answer that last one if you don’t know)

 My only complaint is that the microphone will very occasionally teeter down due to its weight. This can be fixed by sliding the microphone down and making it more heavy at the bottom, but can be annoying at times. It's never a big deal though.  Overall, this is THE BEST value for a USB (with XLR capabilities should you want to upgrade and buy a mixer/preamp at one point) dynamic microphone I have ever seen, and I'd recommend this product to producers on a budget any day

 The static is only slight, and is never anything that can't be fixed with a few clicks in even the most standard of audio editors. It does tend to pick up oh-so slightly on noises to the left and the right of the microphone. It's not so dynamic that if you slightly move your head away, you suddenly can't hear you anymore, but it's dynamic enough to where the main focus will be what's directly in front of the microphone for the most part.  The volume control on the back of the microphone was a pain to use

 It's never a big deal though.  Overall, this is THE BEST value for a USB (with XLR capabilities should you want to upgrade and buy a mixer/preamp at one point) dynamic microphone I have ever seen, and I'd recommend this product to producers on a budget any day.

 For one reason or another, the microphone likes to turn its volume up to max on your computer and immediately raise it back up should you attempt to lower it. This can sometimes be annoying, as it can be too loud at many times. The knob itself for the volume control is hard to reach, short of picking up the microphone and moving it (meaning it's nigh impossible to do this silently during a recording), and is small and hard to use among other things such as your USB cord cluttering the path.  The peripherals that come with it are pretty nice

..I type while talking and I have a mechanical keyboard with Cherry Brown switches, so that was a non-starter. I opted for this dynamic mic rather than the condenser style of the Yeti, and loved the difference

  I use Audacity to fine-tune the audio, and added other software fixes to address potential shortcomings in Windows 10 connection to USB microphones (doesn't offer mic boost/gain levels for USB mics, etc). What I ended up with was simply terrific audio when connected with micro-USB..

 Also the loose and easily flipped on/off switch seems like a feature of a cheaper, less quality mic. Overall I'm satisfied with this mic..
