 Blue microphones don't usually deliver on very accurate monitoring, but this microphone is a different story. I thought that the monitoring sounded pretty good. actually. it was pretty accurate to the playback, which made me feel very comfortable using the zero latency monitoring feature

Blue Yeti Nano is a microphone that I've heard a lot of, but I was kind of ignoring it for quite a while since it didn't really seem all that special to me. It just looked exactly like a Blue Yeti X, which is mostly true, but there are differences between the two that separate them, making a pretty substantial difference here, not only in the exterior, but also mostly in the price tag. And considering that blue microphones aren't the cheapest and when they are cheap, they tend to suck, I decided to go ahead and actually give this microphone a try because it had an interesting price of just 100 bucks and I haven't tried a budget blue microphone in years. So is this microphone any good? Let's go ahead and dive right out before we continue

Blue Yeti Nano Review | It's Actually Pretty Good.

 The response to my voice is outstanding with quality well above its price range. That said - MY BIGGEST FEAR was poor quality construction or poor engineering that MANY people have mentioned - in particular, the USB connection at the bottom of the microphone! I am using a Yeti Blue Nano Shockmount to connect to my boom arm. Yeti makes BOTH of these items - designed to work together and you have to actually put the entire assembly together with the USB plug already plugged in to the mic in order to keep from stressing the connector OR the port! UNBELIEVABLE! With the RF isolator close to the connector, it makes it just that much more difficult to plug in. In order to do it correctly and without stressing the USB plug or the USB connector - you have to LITERALLY remove the mic from the shock mount, remove the connector adaptor for the shock mount, then thread the usb connecting cable through everything - plug it in - THEN reassemble the entire unit hoping the weight of the cable doesn't pull the USB plug back out again

 I DO love the green/red 'on/mute' button on the front, and the directional selection switch on the reverse side of the mic. Combining the 'on/mute' button with the headphone volume rheostat on the front is well done as well. While there are SO many good things about this relatively inexpensive mic - there are MANY equally inexpensive (if not as good at recording) that are MUCH better engineered with regard to layout of connections .

 does anyone at Yeti actually USE this microphone on a daily basis? I'm guessing not, OR if they are - no one is listening to them! OVERALL - A solid "5" for sound quality!! A solid "3" for poor engineering that almost invites usb plug failure.

HORRIBLY ENGINEERED!!!!!

 this includes upcoming youtubers, twitch streamers, people do voiceovers, all of that. This is a nice budget option and it's so much more portable than the Original Blue Yeti I Think this is the best value microphone that Blue sells, so to me. I Think it's a good buy. It's everything people love about the Original Blue Yeti in a smaller, more compact package and at a smaller price too

 You think they're the exact same microphone. I Know it's hard to believe me with that proof, right? Well actually here's the audio clips that I recorded. See for yourself. the boy was there when the Sun rose a rod is news to catch

 Then it wouldn't work with my voicetracking software. It was a nightmare. I was on the phone with IT at my job for an hour+ while they tried to figure out what was happening since my computer was recognizing the mic but it was not working properly. I had to go back to my original yeti, return the nano for a second time, and buy a totally different mic to use for travel

BEWARE: Not compatable with all software

This is a pretty good mic for my needs and also a good price for what you get. The USB cable supplied made no sense to use with this mic's stand though. Also, I'm not sure why or how, but this mic messes with my computer so much in ways I have never seen a peripheral do. About 25% of the time I turn on or restart my PC, the mic will prevent my PC from booting up, instead all I get is an underscore at the top left of the screen

 Even if it manages to boot up Windows when this issue occurs, there's a very good chance that neither my keyboard or mouse will be working, as if they were unplugged. How do I know it is the mic causing it? Well, because as soon as I unplug the mic while these problems are happening, everything fixes itself. My PC proceeds to boot up normally as soon as I unplug the mic and / or my mouse and keyboard start working again. I'm pretty sure the mic is also to blame for my PC not idling to sleep inconsistently, but I haven't confirmed that one

Good mic for the price.

This microphone is continually coming unplugged due to a poor fitting usb cable. One day it works and the next day not. It can drop out in the middle of a chat.  They really need to fix this

Very good quality defeated by poor plug that keeps dropping out - and it hijacks the PC speakers!

This mic gives good sound for my podcast but there is a design flaw. The power connection is a flimsy standard mini USB and it's wobbly, and barely stays in. They should have placed the power connection in another place and made it USB C.

Was a decent product for the first 4 months, then it stopped working. The quality was sub-par, entire microphone was sub par, but if you're just starting out it would of been great if it didnt stop working

Total Overkill for Gaming and Video Conferencing Apps like Zoom, Microsoft Teams and Blue Jeans

"). But the mic is still working, light is lit, but I can't control the gain without going several clicks deep into Windows setting. Blue tech support was not helpful. Followed all their instructions including uninstall/reinstall, installing Logitech's hub software also, and has never worked since

 YMMV. - REALLY MISS THE HARDWARE CONTROL GAIN KNOB ON THE BLUE YETI  Overall I highly recommend, as it is at it's core an excellent quality microphone and delivers professional sounding recordings and webinar broadcasts. Just know you may need to really play deep in Windows settings to tune it to your specs.
