They're certainly better and I would consider them the natural upgrade progression.

This headphone addresses every issue I have with that headphone.

Personally, I would like it to be a little bit warmer, but overall this is a fabulous headphone for the money. My personal favourite in the 150€ range.

I found myself incessantly reading and watching headphone reviews, in search of the perfect sound for 500 bucks or so and before I knew it the Beyerdynamic DT 1990 pro’s were in my hand along with something called Schiit. Anyways, mind blown and I would never need another can EVER.

I find the DT 1990 Pro awesome but **too fatiguing** even with Equalizer APO settings. So I'm trying to replace my headphones and while I am at it also replace other equipment. This will be strictly for FPS gaming and so directional queues are important. That being said the sound needs to be enjoyable too.
