Personally, I would like it to be a little bit warmer, but overall this is a fabulous headphone for the money. My personal favourite in the 150€ range. I still own a pair as my main gaming headphone.

The headphone is pretty good but not as good as expected. For example it is better than the Mh752 but not mileeess better although it is much pricier. I don't have anything else to say about it apart that it is a good headphone but just that it isn't that confortable and that it will probably need an amp (or use the FOX as an amp). The FOX is ehhh for the price, it sounds alright but nothing crazy

 Biodynamics Tiger 300R has been something of enigma. Originally it launched as part of a streaming only package. Recently it was made available as a headphone only but it wasn't in stock for very long. Many have wondered which driver is inside? What pads are used? Have they tuned the driver in any way to make it better for gaming, music, or movies? Today we get it on the measurement rig and answer all of those questions

 However using the Tiger 300R is a very similar experience only it's more fun it adds that bass in a little bit it has most of the detail. It is a 32 ohm headphone so it doesn't quite resolve quite as well as the 600 ohm version which isn't a surprise but it does resolve just as well as a 250 ohm so I am not able to distinguish between the two. So it also has a sound stage that's on par with the 880 which is not super expansive but it is certainly pretty good and imaging is fantastic. This thing is really really sharp at competitive gaming it's also great for single player gaming and it does everything really really well it handles most music genres very well it's a lot of fun to watch movies with it's a very very good headphone I really enjoy it

 While they tend to do the same thing to the mid scoop out for a little bit of a V shape the interesting thing is the 8K peak is about the same on both but the Tiger 300R doesn't sound as muted in the treble it still sounds very very detailed and that's because you can see up there above 10K it still has lots of air and sparkle up top so this still sounds like a very detailed headphone. So I think the takeaway here is the Tiger 300R has a very fun sound signature, great bass response, doesn't have the deepest sub bass extension but still has a very fun frequency response and combines that with lots of treble detail and air. This is a fun sounding headphone and frankly a tough one to put down. You know in comparison with like the 880 that I really really like, I like the 880 Premium the 600 ohm version because it's very good for competitive gaming and it allows me in monitoring and mixing to pick out flaws in recordings

I would go for HD560S or TYGR 300 R. Both are excellent for positional audio in gaming. Read some reviews and choose the one that suits your music listening tastes.

Best Open Back for &lt; $200 (Gaming &amp; General)

Gave this 3 stars for the mic. If it was just the headphones it'd be an easy 5 star recommendation. They mic isn't any better sounding than my mod mic, it's pita because of it's size, and it's generally just not worth the hassle. The headphones are great though

Great headphones, meh mic

Stunning bass, luscious non-fatiguing highs and a beautifully defined midrange make these truly enjoyable to listening to music on. The feeling of immersive surround sound that you get from these is outstanding. The immediate feeling I got was that these were like the IEM version of my fantastic Beyerdynamic TYGR 300 R over-ear headphones.

Sony Mh755. Game over.

That said, I have the Final E4000 and really like those as well for the price. I'm sure the E500 is good too. But the MH755 for about $10 US is the budget king, at least to me. I think they are getting harder to find though, now.

I have these. Got them from Drop. I use them to fall asleep listening to white noise, since they are comfortable and don't stick out, letting me sleep on my side.

Final E500 - The New Budget Kings!

  UPDATED 12/07/2020 - The fox mic failed again due to the mic only picking up static/humming noise Amazon told me I have to send them back and it really ticks me off that I'm having to give up this EPIC headphones over this crap microphone they give you. DO NOT BUY THE FOX MIC ITS CRAP. I'm currently looking at getting the headphones on there own but Beyerdynamic only sell it as a bundle unless you buy it from them directly and that makes the cost jump a lot.

 So I asked my friend who does audio for a living and he recommended to check the headphones on the pc directly bypassing the mic and the static stopped swapped back to the mic and the static returned so I can only assume is a design flaw.  Overall I'm annoyed that they skimped on the quality of an important part but the overall quality for me is worth it as I can work around it by using a Schiit Magni 3 Heresy so that I still have audio controls but don't have to worry about the audio jack issues. 5 star headphones 0 star mic

This headphone is a beast. It has an amazing sound stage, good details retrieval and a rather neutral sound signature if you re looking for a sound signature that won't focus on either the low, mid or high part of the frequency response (Beyerdynamic headphones are more V shaped out of the box except for the TYGR 300 R).

I'm very new to quality headphones and audio setups so bear with me through this post. For the past few years I've been using old Astro a50s for gaming but those just died so I'm in the market for a good closed back upgrade for my pc. I'm unsure if I want to get another pair of wireless over-ear headphones because it was very nice not having a cord attached but I realize the sound quality is limited so I am definitely open to a wired setup.

**Budget**: My budget is between $200-$300 in total.

**Source**: If I get wireless headphones then I'm assuming it's all in one package through usb or something. If I go with wired headphones I know I'll need some sort of interface for it which I am also unfamiliar with but that'll come later.

**Uses**: I'll only be using these at home on my computer, mostly for games and sometimes youtube/streaming shows. My apartment is very quiet so noise cancelling doesn't really matter to me. Also I have an external microphone so I have no need for any built in solution.

I know my parameters aren't very specific but again, I have no idea where to start so any suggestions are welcome!

Looking for my first quality pair of headphones

 I never listen to something at max volume on my phone but with these I would.  4. While light it still feels like you have perfectly round unforgiving cans on your ears. As someone who works for Sony and has a ton of headphones and always uses my sennheiser at computer it simply wasn’t anywhere close to comfortable to me

  First: despite being open back they are hot on your ears. Compared to Sennheiser they are extraordinarily hotter.  2: the sound was no better. They are both good sounding but considering the price to get this bundle it should be more impressive

<p>Edit - No amps please, built in mic or no built in mic is fine, but could you recommend some good mics to go along? Also, prime day is happening so a cool deal would be nice, but again not as important as the right headphones. I have already wasted too much money...</p>
