 Here you can see the front the option to plug in a headset either headset with a mic or headphones on one side and then mic on the other side. you have invited nice easy access in volume wheel there that you can actually push into new it as well. It has a scalp mode option Sound Blaster X or do and then you can switch the gain up and down and in the back you'll see where you plug in the market USB Cable and line in with the optical cables. That's a pretty nicely constructed package you know underneath for example as a rubberized finish on it so it might slip around on the desk

5 my headset said you find it isn't quite loud enough and the G 6 might well be a good purchase. Now here: I'm showing difference in the audio levels I've got a sound level meter I've got the G Pro X plugged in directly to my PC with a 3.5 Milkin Xions set on maximum volume and just a song playing in the background and you can see hits around 90 decibels as top maybe 98 and I guess recently loud and that's Plex Now if I wanted to see the difference between that and I knew the difference from experience but I want to be able to show you with official numbers? As I said earlier in the video, I found that this was really loud. You use the deck and you're suddenly having like maximum volume when you're eating already

 and I thought it was worth testing us now as I happen to have a couple of different three point five minutes it's in the house. but I just recently been using the Logitech G Pro X I'm short on unboxing review up separately and so that's the three point five minutes and I thought they might be worth sticking that on this DAC to see how it performed and Ashley made some changes and I'll show you at the end the difference it makes because not only does it support high res audio, virtual surround sound, and a number of other sandblaster sayings include scalp mode, various equalizer modes, and also has Dolby audio in it as well, but it also boosts the potential.   With that being said, the setup for Super X-FI was a royal pain in the ass. Seriously, I couldn't think of a more unintuitive way for Creative to manage the setup process for this. You have to download a Super X-FI phone app, calibrate the shape of your head into the app, download the creative app for windows, set things up there, then download yet another Super X-FI app for Windows that can download your profile that you made from the app onto your computer which will then connect with your Creative windows app. The cherry on top here is that Super X-FI doesn't have a profile for my Sennheiser GSP 600 headset, and even if I try selecting the Sennheiser PC38X which uses the same driver as the GSP 600, the sound quality is downright awful

 The RGB is a nice touch, wish it lit up more than just a circle around the 4 dedicated buttons and the tiny knob lights. I personally like the front outputs for my particular setup and find it convenient to use this way. Overall, I like the device a lot so far as far as the sound quality goes, it looks clean, it's simple to install and set up (except for Super X-FI), and does the job well for its price point. However, the software is still buggy, the Super X-FI is a complete waste of time if your headset isn't supported and a pain even if it is, and I really wish the real estate was put to better use than the current middle/right buttons and knobs

  Overall - Sound Quality: 5/5 Mic Quality: 5/5 Setup Process: 1/5 User Experience: 2/5 Build Quality: 4/5 Value: 2/5

 My recommendation: buy a high-end DAC for sound quality improvements, buy a streamdeck or loupedeck for streamer related functions, and don't even consider this if your headphones are not supported by Super X-FI. I ended up returning mine for a Schiit Hel 2.  Overall - Sound Quality: 5/5 Mic Quality: 5/5 Setup Process: 1/5 User Experience: 2/5 Build Quality: 4/5 Value: 2/5

GC7 Review: Great sound, PITA to setup, terrible streamer functionality

Not sure if that could be because they're still new and the drivers are still "settling in" or what. I am currently using them with a Sound BlasterX G6 external DAC/Amp that has enough juice to power them properly and it's currently running on direct mode, so absolutely zero effects or EQs applied. With the EQ on and set to Music mode it sounds a bit fuller, but also a bit muddier, so I prefer to keep it off. I was thinking of getting a Schiit stack, would that make a lot of difference quality wise?

  2. Tested it with PS5 in case anyone would be interested in using it with the PS5 like I was. It won't work some magic and let you hear things you couldn't hear. BUT it works

 It's worked out great, but after getting a few high-end headphones, I decided to test them out with different AMPs.  I tested it with 6 different set of IEMs & headphones ranging from $300 to $2000. It didn't make a whole lot of difference for easy to drive, closed-back headphones or sensitive IEMs, but for something like the Sennheiser HD800s, the G6 changed everything.  A wider soundstage, positional accuracy & clarity of the audio

 it will definitely give you advantage over other setups. I was skeptical about its advertised gamer-focused features, but it def works.  The virtual surround mode works ok (up to 32bit 96khz - "better quality" than just using Dolby Access which only outputs 16bit 44khz, but surround effect works on Dolby better for the contents that were specifically designed for Dolby) and the 'direct mode' produces clean (unprocessed) stereo up to 32bit 384khz.  Initially, I didn't believe in the product before so I returned it, but now I can see why someone would want a product like this

Great value DAC/AMP for gaming! (...with a few issues)

Recently I've mostly finished putting together a brand new PC build, and figured it might be a good time to upgrade headphones.

Please realize I am nearly entirely new to the "high end" audio scene. I've looked at some stuff so if this sounds like it's coming from someone without much experience in the hobby, it is.

 But first, the checklist (Sorry if this gets long):

1. Use case: Gaming primarily. Variety of stuff, can give specifics if needed. I also listen to a **LOT** of music. See next point for that.
2. Music Variety: Honestly kinda everything. Some I own and listen to directly via MP3 or Flac, while others I listen to on YouTube Music or Spotify when available. In no particular order, here are some examples of genre and artists.
   1. Country. Alabama, Highwaymen, Blake Shelton, Keith Urban, Eric Church, Tim McGraw+Faith Hill (aka their "The Rest of Our Life" album), Hunter Hayes, and David Nail (exclusively his song "Sound of a Million Dreams")
   2. Video Game OSTs, and a lot of them. Transistor, Bastion, Path of Exile, Into the Breach, NieR: Automata, NieR: Replicant/Gestalt, Hollow Knight and Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice to name a few.
   3. Acappella. Lumping this together since there aren't many artists, though this covers a lot of styles. Pentatonix, The Real Group, Ringmasters, Vocal Spectrum, and the Westminster Chorus.
   4. Some YouTube artists, notably Peter Hollens and Miracle of Sound.
   5. Piano. This can range from songs in games themselves to individual recordings/covers on Youtube. 2 songs which stand out and I play almost weekly are "Cohen's Masterpiece" from Bioshock 1, and Arthur Rubinstein's performance of Chopin's Fantaisie Impromptu.
   6. "Classical": This has been more a recent taste and not sure if it'll stick. Mostly Chopin and Rachmaninoff.
   7. Various Artists I can't really fit into the above (*huge* variety of genres here): Blackmore's Night, Celtic Thunder (pretty much the Mythology Album only), Trans-Siberian Orchestra (their Christmas albums are a yearly listen during the holidays), Evanescence (though pretty much only the band-version of My Immortal and "Never Go Back" from their album "Synthesis"), and Poets of the Fall (pretty much all their stuff, though their Alexander Theatre Sessions are a fairly frequent listen).
3. Listen Location: At home at my computer only. I use the Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro for out-and-about.
4. What have I been using: For over a year HyperX Cloud Revolver's that I got on sale because a friend liked them and recommended them to me as I was in the market for a new headset. Turns out the mic sucked but I *"*liked" the sound quality enough to keep them. Not sure how good these *actually* are (which is also one of my questions).
5. What have I been running them off: I'm assuming this means sound card, DAC, or amp. Of the above, only a soundcard, the Creative Titanium Fatal1ty Edition, which I'm using because I have due to finding it at Goodwill in a sealed box for like 20 to 25 dollars nearly 2 years ago. Have had NO issues with it.
6. Desk Space: Not much. Would have to be placed on top of case most likely.
7. Preferred Tonal Balance: I can't really talk much about this since I have little experience, but my best idea based on what I've seen would be more Neutral focused, with an emphasis on clarity. Sorry if I can't be specific, though if there are better suggestions based on music choice go ahead.
8. Headset or Headphones: Headphones preferred, but willing to go either/or.
9. Budget. Around 300 USD for headphones, up to 500-550 USD if it's **well** worth it. For DAC or Amp do what is appropriate for the headphones, but preferably 1 "budget" option and 1 "not-so-budget" option which is no more then the headphones cost. The DAC/Amp stuff isn't a set in stone rule.

4: Exactly how much audio-bleed is there for Open-Back Headphones vs Closed Back Headphones? I don't live alone and some people can be... irritated if they can hear what I'm playing.

Question as I do research on headphones.

 I play mainly Apex Legend and being able to make teammates sound louder or lower their voices if I need to hear the game more, really improves my audio spatial performance: that paired with the scout mode makes tracking my target with my ears a lot more accurate.  Is this drastically different from a RealTek motherboard soundcard?. Well yes and no, you can get better audio performance with software like Dolby Atmos for HeadPhones, does it sound as well? not at all. One thing that I noticed is that scout mode even though is great, it can boost the wrong audio signal if you are hearing music that's kinda on the same frequency as footsteps

One other thing that I think needs to improve is the software, there is no visual way to know which changes are you doing on the fly via a pop-up, or even color changes on the soundcard buttons. Let's say you have 3 EQ presets for different games, you can cycle it with one the from panel button but there's no color change or visual queue that tells you which one are you using atm unless you open the software itself, that undermine the full potential by adding extra steps that could be easily fixed

 Having an actual button to press and change the configuration for what you want to do is great. Hello everyone, after using the HyperX Cloud 2 headset for a few years I got interested in open back headphones and have been told that I need an external dac/amp to get the most out of any headphone in general. After some research I ended up buying a Sound BlasterX G6 since in my country it was only slightly more expensive than the widely recommended entry level dac/amp which is FiiO E10k.
