S6L vs SD10

What’s the most popular FOH/Monitor Console duo everyone sees in the field these days?

Have a 96 input show coming up that the client just asked if we could multitrack. I am still at the quote stage so I wanted to see what the best current option for recording past 64 channels is.  My current best idea is to use a Yamaha Rivage, and 2 computers running dante virtual sound card to record 48 channels each. My other thought was to use DiGiCo SD10 and RME MADIface XT to a single computer, but I've never done the coax to optical conversion or used that interface before so I wasn't sure if that would work.  Is there a better way to do this? Is there anything I'm missing?

Rivage/SD10 for 96 channel multitrack recording? Is there a better way?

Looking for a new FOH console for a house of worship. Full band with IEMs and personal mixers. We are also wanting to add some sort of remote mixer for broadcast either another physical desk or computer based mixing. I’ve narrowed it down to this list, but open for other options. Any pros and cons for these 4 or general thoughts would be much appreciated.

New FOH console?

Hi folks, 

As a house engineer at a UK venue, I very rarely have to provide my own gear for shows. I'm used to using SoundCraft VI and SI consoles, both of which I feel have their pro's and cons. 

I'm looking to start building my own personal rig for those rare occasions when I'm asked to do external freelance work. I'm familiar with the X32 console, but have not used it for prolonged periods of time. With the exception of its lack of touch screen and graphic EQ on all bus outputs as standard, the X32 seems to fit most of my needs. 

I was eyeing up the Allen and Heath SQ5, but at twice the price I honestly don't think it will see enough action to justify the purchase. The M32R was another option, but having dabbled with one only recently, I find the the screen to be ridiculously small. The X32 Compact seems to be a nice little all rounder with a price tag that warrants occasional use. 

Is anyone still going strong with the X32 range? Are all associated apps still working as expected? Any regrets?
