DJI Mavic 3

Internal SSD: A little disappointing you can't add an SSD to a base Mavic 3 but it's understandable if you cant unlock Proress by a license as 1TB is not really needed with h265 compression rates. But again DJI are taking the piss with overcharging customers for the built in one. ND FIlters: DJI ND filters are average at best and once again the consumer is paying 4x what they are worth.

This may be controversial here but as a working professional drone operator, the Mavic 3 cine model and combo is not overly priced for what you get. I wish I could have gotten rid of the bag from the combo though. As soon as this drone gets to me it’s going straight into a pelican case and I’m going to sell that bag to off set the cost of the pelican case.

If you can afford it and know what you will use it for, the Mavic 3 is an easy recommendation.

The Mavic 3 is great, but no, I can’t justify $3k for it. In the meanwhile my launch day Mavic 2 Pro soldiers on… waiting for a replacement in the price category DJI itself created.

And the mavic 3 uses this Giant, cheap feeling controller that just feels, well, awkward and cheaply made and way to big and missing the controller led display with all the info you would want if the drone lost connection to the app. First issue I had immediately was that there is no exposure dial on the controller.

The mavic 3 is a bit heavier and wider which might affect agility, but the sensors have been greatly improved from the previous models (apparently they've gone from 20m obstacle detection to 200m). It seems like a great drone overall (expensive, though), and the extended flight time is definitely nice to have.
