The Air 2S is a fantastic drone and in some ways it is superior to the Mavic Pro 2. However in many ways it is not. For people willing to spend in that $1200-2000 range 3 years has brought us… nothing really new. I guess someday the Air 3 should finally be clearly superior to our Mavic Pro 2 but that drone isn’t here yet and might not arrive until 2022-23 and 4-5 years is a long time to wait for something better, that also doesn’t cost twice the price.

Only few weeks ago it was $1750. I wonder if they will bring the previous price back anytime soon?.

In the UK after January 2023 you will need a class marking or under 250g weight for any drone to not be automatically in the highest restricted classification, meaning you can only fly it 150m away from any uninvolved people, and a whole bunch of other restrictions. The mini and mini 2 swerve this with their small weight and can be flown almost anywhere. The air 2s would technically meet the requirements for a lower restriction, but without the official class signifier it doesn’t matter.

You can carry it in a jacket pocket. For a slightly higher price consider the DJI Air 2S. It is powerful and compact, with many advanced features. There are pros and cons to various drones.

DJI Air 2s can go 42 mph but that's without obstacle avoidance but on normal flight mode it should be fast enough. You can use active track to follow your snowboarder. I guess it could help with hunting. Depends though, if you're around a lot of trees I don't see how it would be much help.
