 Folding up the controller is very simple, all you do is pull your phone out, unplug the provided cable, take the joysticks, unscrew them. They have a nice storage compartment right here on each side, put the cable in a little slot right here, and then you fold up the arms like so then your antenna go and fold up like that and you're good to have this stored for your next flight. Now looking at the features here, of course you have your two joysticks, you have your home button, you have your power button right here, antenna on the top, you have still photos and recording either is 2.7k or 1080p whichever you prefer and then you also Have your camera tilt knob right here as well

 The remote control that comes with the drone is very compact and lightweight. Very simple to design and it utilizes a smartphone like an iphone or Android and comes with the proper cables to actually run it and also has a charging port on the side that's integrated with the cable that connects right to your phone, which provides a nice seamless connectivity to your drone during flight time.  So if you keep it in your pocket, just be aware you might be breaking some propellers or bend them. And we'll talk about a situation where these propellers do bend and it gives you an error message. The Dji Mavic Mini is an impressively small and very lightweight drone coming in right at 249 grams, which in many countries allows it to not need a registration attached to it, so you can just buy one of these and start flying right away. Beware of restrictions for flying this drone

 So in terms of camera capability, I would say the footage is nice and it really reminds me of the Spark. It's a bit over sharpened and saturated, but that's not bad at all, especially considering the lack of flat color profile on this drone. so 99% of the people using this drone can get away without ever grading their footage. It looks crisp and saturated with colors realistically resembling the environment around you

 So one of my very first impressions when flying the Maverick Mini was the range. The Mini is using an improved version of the enhanced Wi-Fi connectivity which was found in the Spark and the Mavic air. So with my first couple of flights I thought there is nothing that has been improved about this system. for the mini

 I Then realised I'm asking way too much from the drone, expecting it to fly like my medic-2 Pro which has definitely spoiled me. so I Remember the old days of owning the Spark and the Mavic Air and remembered that you had to be really careful and selective where you fly if you want to have good range. going outside the city where the drone automatically switches to 2.4 gigahertz easily boost your maximum range up to 2 kilometers and I was able to easily achieve that range and I felt I could push the drone even more if I wanted to

 Professional pilots won't find much use in the mini rather than the small size, but sometimes that's all you need. Something light and portable that can do the job without tons of tweaks and customization options. For that, the mini is perfect, so I'm really interested to hear what you guys have to say about the Mavic Mini, so please let me know your thoughts in the comment section below. Hello, i need help. I recently purchased three different drones. The first was a mini quadcopter from walmart for indoor flying that fit in the palm of my hand. On the box it said it holds altitude. Well long story short it didn't. And it got lost in the woods because i got sick of hitting walls so i took it outside. The second one i also purchased from walmart, Video Streaming Sharper Image Drone, promised the same Altitude Hold feature along with a video live stream feature. I've flown said drone multiple times indoors and outdoors and everytime i fly it does NOT hold altitude. It either shoots straight up about 500 ft or crashes and i cant use the camera reliably due to the fact that the live footage keeps skipping, So i said fuck it. I went online and ordered a $199 Contixo F16 Version Wifi drone. Its currently shipping and i need to know if the altitude is a factor of false promises to get fools to buy pieces of metal that malfunction. I've seen vids of other versions of the Contixo that literally hold pace and altitude PERFECTLY but the only ones i have seen that actually do that are the ones with the GPS feature. I need to know did i waste more money on a version that just promises altitude hold or does the F16 ACTUALLY have it because i cant find any reviews on youtube or google. Thanks! Also is the real altitude hold feature ONLY available with GPS?

Help first time drone buyer

 My Fault. 2. Shutting the drone and controller off is weirdly difficult. I mean it just will not shut down

I thought maybe the phone was somehow keeping the controller from shutting down even after I disconnected it from the phone, so I shut the phone down that seemed to hep but no not really

 I Remember the main thing for this one guys is you're getting a 249 gram drone. That means you don't have to register it with the FAA as of now because it's ultralight and it falls below that registration weight requirement. I mean I'm not a DJI fan boy. but just look at this

 Let's get started. [Music] Okay so I decided not to like set everything up I Want to just show you guys how long it takes to set this thing up? Of course you want to do the calibrations and updates at home and stuff like that, but if you're at your flying field, the only thing you should have to do is I'm a kind of a firm believer in doing a compass calibration wherever you fly. First of all, we're gonna take off the camera cover and then super easy with this one the top arms first, the bottom back ones second and that's it for this thing being set up. all I gotta do is worry about your controller so opening up these antennas, pulling out the bottoms and of course we want to screw in with the thumb sticks and what's cool I Noticed about where the sticks go in, it actually click whenever the other ones have just like a little rubber thing, these ones have a little notch like they click in so harder to lose

 and then all we need to do is plug in our phone here so we're gonna put our cable about there. The best way to probably do it is just kind of plug in your phone first. Just like this, this is in one +60 phone by the way. if you're wondering what this is and then once you get it plugged in, just kind of put it in this compartment

DJI Mavic MINI Flight Test Review IN-DEPTH - How good is it...REALLY!?

Recommendations please! My husband wants a drone for Christmas for sight seeing and pictures. This will be his first drone. Can you recommend one under $350?

  It isn't able to unlock the flight restriction sometimes so if you live near an airport you won't be able to fly. I'm not sure if they banned me from flying or what but this makes this $500 drone a piece of junk. Resetting the app sometimes fixes this but this glitch is frustrating and drains the battery as I try to work it out.  Also the range is stated for 4km but the furthest I got was 1

 That's about a mile which is good for this little drone but I was flying at 150m which is above the 120m legal limit and if I flew with just the controller without the range extenders it probably wouldn't have gone much over 1km. Also the signal can sometimes go bad as less than 100 meters which can be such a disappointment because I expected for the price the range to be good for atleast 1km without range extenders.  Something just recently happened and it just fell down from the sky but luckily into the grass and not the concrete. It said it had a motor error as it descended and fell spiraling down from the sky

I've had many drones $100 and under that I could fly anywhere I wanted but they all eventually malfunctioned and flew away never to return. Then I get the Mavic mini for $500 hoping it would not have the same problem as my cheaper drones but it wouldn't even let me fly it at all because I live near an airport and needs authorization in the app which is extremely difficult and complicated to get and I will probably never unlock it and be able to fly it unless I drive miles away from my house away from the no fly zones. Biggest disappointed I have had in a while. They say you get what you pay for but with DJI I basically spent half a grand and got nothing because it's a useless piece of junk that won't fly because the app restriction

Expected a reliable drone but quickly experienced many issues

Hi, I'm absolutely new to drones and never even held touched one in my life. Soon I'm planning to go mountain climbing and I'd like to have one to take photos, can anybody recommend something around 600$? I'm afraid of falling into some kind of overpriced scrap targeted into people without any idea about drones. My top limit would be around 800$ but it would be cool not to hit it. I'm fairly competent with IT stuff so it doesn't need to be a completely fool-proof toy. I'll be grateful for any kind of advice!
