 I believe as of this video, it's still sold out, but I think it's starting to be restocked now. So that means a lot of people have bought this, a lot of people have tried this. I would love, love, love to hear your thoughts on it, if you like it, what you found maybe a little hard to do with it as well. I'd love to hear your thoughts

 So I bring it out just because some of the attributes are the same, the construction's the same, but I kind of wonder if Electrum got to the research and development part of this and decided, we're going to go bigger and badder with everything. The Electrum E is longer, it's a 16 and a half inch paddle, most of the companies are making an offering in that, and this is Electrum's offering in the 16 and a half length version. It's also wider, as you can see, I hope the camera's picking this up, it's a five-eighths inch core versus the half inch core. So even the grip is bigger

 The first drill I did with this was third shot drops, and it was just, it was beautiful, you could just drop it right over the top of the net into the non-volley zone. However, you had to get the paddle back early, you had to be aware that it's just a little bit heavier. This really struggled at the net in fast hands drills. We really found that this, it's not its favorite place to be just because it's a little bulky and it's a little heavy

I've retested dozens of paddles after initial tests and almost always they end up having similar retest results. When I did a second check on the Electrum Model E, I was within 10 RPM of the original test. Warrior was within 30 RPM, Pro Kennex Pro Flight was within 40 RPM, and there's a bunch of other examples as well. IMO as long as the variance isn't 150-200+ I think it's still fine

I like that he is trying to measure spin but I have a hard time totally trusting his numbers. There seem to be so many uncontrolled variables in his tests. He’s a human so his swing isn’t the same each time he tests (not to mention he’s probably getting better overtime so he might able to impart more spin now than he was 6 months ago) and if he uses that same colored in ball every time then it’s hardness or softness changes each time he uses it. And if he’s doing the test on outdoor courts then the wind probably is a little different each time he does a spin test. Then he uses slow mo video to count the rotations which seems sketchy at best.

The Best of the Best Paddles Used Thus Far

 The grip feels great. Size wise it’s perfect. My game has gotten better and it gives me confidence.

You probably want something that is elongated and with a longer handle. Depending on your budget, my recommendations would be Electrum Model E (\~$150), Franklin Signature ($100), and Onix Evoke Premier (heavyweight version, $125 on Amazon). Lots of pro singles players use the Electrum Model E.

I have been using my mother-in-law’s extra paddle, a pro-lite aero graphite.  It seems very light, and for tennis I was using a relatively heavy racket.  

Anyhow I was planning on demoing three paddles from pickleball central, but I really have no idea which paddles to select? I would like to keep the price is below around $150, even below $100 if possible. Thanks for any advice.

Help ex tennis player pick a paddle

I was coming from the Electrum Model E, a long head heavy 16mm touch control paddle. The Invicta seemed like overkill for me. I don't really need the extra length, and the sweet spot was noticeably smaller.

I recently got to test out the new Selkirk Power Air Series that I've been seeing a ton of on social media. 

At first glance, they all look the same with identical paddle thickness, surface grit, and design; The only real big difference between the three being the shape and handle length.

**So the big question which one is "best" and what's the difference between each one?** 

After trying out all three, it became apparent that each one offered something different and compliments different shots:

*  All three paddles offered above average control and touch. The grit on each paddle is kind of nutty (I'm surprised how it's legal because it feels way grittier than my Joola or pre-banned CRBN paddles)
* The wider paddles S2 and Epic felt a little better for dinks, drops, and resets due to the wider surface. The shorter handle isn't something I'm as used to, but it still felt pretty great and had tons of pop.
* The Invikta was a beast-- definitely felt the most comfortable with this one because it had tons of power and pop, while still feeling pretty effortless for the softer shots. 
* All three paddles had exceptional maneuverability-- really easy to swing around, almost no drag, and very light. Compared to my Joola paddle, this thing is cutting through the air (oh, maybe that's why they called it Power Air)

**In Summary**: I really liked them. I think I still slightly prefer the thickness and solidity of Joola, but if I had to play in a tournament with any of these paddles, I wouldn't complain. I would lean most towards the Invikta, but that's just because I'm used to more of an elongated, power paddle.
