If you don't want to spend as much, look at the Jabra Elite 65e Wireless. These headphones aren't as customizable as the Sony WI-1000XM2 Wireless since they lack features like button remapping and virtual surround sound. However, they have a more comfortable fit for most people. They come with stability fins and are less likely to fall out of your ears during workouts. Their bass-heavy sound profile adds rumble and thump to your audio, which is great for genres like EDM and hip-hop. Instruments may lack a bit of presence and detail in genres like classical, but if you prefer a different sound, the app has a graphic EQ for sound customization.

Compared to our top pick, their ANC system does a better job of blocking out mid-range and high-pitched sounds, like chit-chat at the office or your laptop's fan. However, the Sony headphones' ANC is more effective with noise like rumbling bus and plane engines, so they may be a better choice if you need headphones for your commute. Also, while they have a similar continuous battery life of around 8.5 hours, they can't be used wired if they run out of power.

 Hey guys, John V here with PhoneArena, and this is a quick hands-on look at the Jabra Elite 65E. It's a premium pair of around-the-neck style Bluetooth headphones. It's water-resistant and also has active noise cancellation, all for $200. Its design is very similar to the Elite 25E we checked out not too long ago because it sports the same around-the-neck design

 However, its noise cancellation could have been better seeing that it's a little bit on the subdued side. Knowing that it's priced at $200, it's certainly a tougher sell considering its noise cancellation isn't as good as the competition. You can certainly find something cheaper with just about the same level of cancellation, so if you're looking to save a few bucks, it might be worth a look. If this were about $50 less though, it would have been undoubtedly a bit more appealing, but at $200, it's an investment you'll really need to think about

Jabra Elite 65e hands-on

 Among TWS, Bose QCE is OK, but not as good as above. I also recommend to try Krisp (AI noise reduction software).

However, 75t' s mic is not good for eliminating ambient noise in my opinion. Jabra Elite 65e (neckband), Plantronics V5200 (mono), Sennheiser Presence (mono) and aftershokz opencomm (bone) are much better to do that. Among TWS, Bose QCE is OK, but not as good as above. There's one downside of 65t - when ambient noise level is high the callers on the other end can hear it all. I am considering to upgrade to 75t or 85t but the top priority is elimination of ambient noise (so the microphones wouldn't pickup ambient noise). That is very different from ANC. For example, when I am on Teams call &amp; my kid is in the next room watching TV, I don't want the participants of the call to hear my TV.
Which one, 75t or 85t would work better in such environment? 
What are your experiences?

75t / 85t vs 65t for calls with high ambient noise

 i was able to get rid of the THH sound by putting the treble slider all the way to the highest setting. Despite messing with each setting, i just couldn't find a sound signature i enjoyed. They just never had a full sound for me at any point. Which was to bad

 Didn't test these with anything else. But listening at any volume level, the music would slightly fade when bass of any kind showed up. it was almost like the sound was being dialed back for a split second of each beat then would come back again. And i was not blasting these

 main reason was because of the way these sound to me. And when i describe what i heard, this is in default mode. I didn't initially download the app. When listening to rock, HipHop, etc

Great build, Awesome fit, less than average sound.

 However, even though there are so many different options for earbuds and wingtips, for some reason I couldn't find an ear tip and wingtip size that fit my left ear. Yeah, mine was really weird because my right ear fit perfectly fine, however my left ear just had been hurting whenever I put these earbuds in, which is very strange since I've never had this problem with any other pair of earbuds before. However, then again, earbud comfort is fairly subjective, so what I would recommend for these earbuds, since they are a little different I guess and funky shaped, is that you would probably want to try these out in a local store if you can, as that way you won't just buy these earbuds and then realize that these don't fit. Another more pressing problem is that many other people have said that their right earbud has stopped working after 2-3 months

 The build quality itself is pretty good, but that is of course to be expected at this higher price point of around $200. As for what you get out of the box, you get 3 different size ear tips, 3 different size wingtips, and a case. However, even though there are so many different options for earbuds and wingtips, for some reason I couldn't find an ear tip and wingtip size that fit my left ear. Yeah, mine was really weird because my right ear fit perfectly fine, however my left ear just had been hurting whenever I put these earbuds in, which is very strange since I've never had this problem with any other pair of earbuds before

 Now in 2019, no earbuds should be using microUSB at all, and although I can excuse it for like $50 earbuds to have USB, there really is no reason why these $200 earbuds at this much higher price point are not using USB-C. These things should be using USB-C, there's no excuse for that, and that's it. Overall, these earbuds sound very good and have some pretty good battery life, however I just cannot find myself recommending these things due to the high probability that these things will fail after just a few months. For $200, you should be getting earbuds that will last at least a few years, and these earbuds just don't quite really make that cut

 On a more positive note, these earbuds have roughly 8-13 hours of battery life. The reason for such a wide range in battery life is due to the fact that with active noise canceling on, you get roughly 8 hours, however if you want to turn that off, then you can get a pretty darn good 13 hours of battery life. Now this is obviously due to the neckband design of these earbuds, and as I said earlier, this is one of the main pros of having a neckband design. Now personally, I've found that I can use these earbuds for 3-4 days in between charging, and when I do have to charge, it takes roughly 1

Don't Buy These Earbuds... Jabra Elite 65e Review

  To my recollection, my old Samsung unit could actually control Youtube by moving to the next song when I chose. I am not aware of a way to do that with this headset - at least not at this point.  I have not played around with the earpieces to see if they improve the sound since the ones that came on it fit pretty good. But, based on my experience with that set, If the volume could increase by 15% or so and the actual neckband was perhaps a little longer or made some other change to stay on better, it'd be closer to 5 stars

I'm somewhere between 3 and 4 stars.  It pairs easily to my iPhone 7. Much better than previous BT headsets pairing with other phones. It turns on quickly so, maybe it seems like within 2 or 3 seconds, it can turn on and be paired

I'd like it louder and more secure around my fat neck.  Call quality is good and I like ANC.

 So hear through is really cool in that if you have this in, when you enable hear through, it will actually let the outside noise come into the ear. So you don't have to take these things off to hear what people are saying, for example. For me, it did require a software update to make this work. So before, when I first got it, pressing this button just toggled between active noise cancellation and no ANC, but with the new software, it will cycle through the three modes

 The range, it's pretty good, but I do get a lot of dropouts. So every now and then, it would just cut out and come right back in. And thirdly, it is just a personal thing. The neck band seems kind of small, so you can see from the picture, the cable sometimes would actually touch my face on either side, which is slightly annoying

 And then coming down is the microphone. It's a pretty large unit, and spoiling the review now, the audio quality is really very, very good. It's a flat cable, and then we have the controls on the right-hand side, so when you're wearing the headset, your right hand will come here and try to operate these controls. It's very nice that at the bottom, there's a little protrusion here, a little nub here, which aligns with the middle button

 But overall, this is a great pair of headphones if you use it for calls, either voice calls or conference calls, which is what I do all day.

Audio controls on Windows 10 pc was inconsistent Toggling between devices was not easy Audio quality was only average (prefer Bose) ANC mediocre No windows app  For me the Bose QC30 was 90% of the way to the perfect BT set for me, but the mic quality made calls impossible.  Jabra 65e has all the features I need and a few extra that were very nice to have. In the end, the subpar comfort, awkward button layout, and only average audio and ANC were not worth the $199 price tag, especially when I compare to the QC30 that, for me, were far better in almost every category except for mic and bonus features that the 65e brought

 Also, neckband is not as soft, rounded, or flexible as bose and didnt feel right on my neck. Center of neckband is flat and seemed to jut into the back of the neck. Carrying case has strong initial odor (I'm sure this will fade over time) Button placement on neckband felt awkward. Checks all the boxes but subpar execution

 The oval shaped ear tips with earlobe has a snug fit and does a great job with noise isolation. I didn't feel any discomfort despite using this for extended hours. This has a great audio quality. If I should describe the audio quality in one word, this sounds elite

 The magnetic controlled active noise cancelling is a well thought feature. This lets user to enable active noise cancelling when the earphones are detached. This helps to save battery life when the headphones are idle. This headphones can last for up to 13 hours on a single charge

 The 3-mic setup does a phenomenal job with active noise cancelling. It is the best in the headphones I have reviewed till date. People could hear me loud and clear even from extremely noisy environments. The best part is they could hear only my voice and not any of the background noise
