Places like Goulet Pens comm Anderson Pens, Amazon.com I Think it's a little cheaper on Amazon probably closer to twenty five and on Goulet it's around I think Twenty Nine Sixty or something like that

 It uses a cartridge converter filler system, but I thought we just go over the pen. We'll take a little closer look at it I'll talk about some of the features, tell you what I like about it. Review: Lamy Safari Fountain Pen

Found this pen My father bought me in 8th grade during Diwali cleaning. Inked it up and realized why i used to love this pen so much. Its now 9 years old and about to hit a decade.

 Personally this bothers me at 40 bucks a pop plus inks and cartridges which will not stay lubricated forever thank goodness they are only a buck for the cartridges. The inks can be quite expensive. Last a long time but expensive to build a color library if inks for calligraphy. With the way they need ink as often as they do, they are a pain in the rear if you write or draw with them

I love my LAMY pens

 Just these little, uh, scuff marks where it's gotten a little rough from wearing against something. But overall, I think this pen wears pretty dang well. I don't think that there are any huge weaknesses as far as longevity. I think that this is a good pen and it will be a good pen for a long time

 this came out and the violet. This is 2020, one of the 2020 special editions, so both really pretty pens. I don't care so much for the gloss finish on a lot of the standard Lamy Safaris, but a lot of their special editions have this matte finish and I think that this finish is really nice. I like the feel of it, I like the look of it, and so yeah, that's why I have these too

Lamy Safari Fountain Pen Review: Longevity, Design, and Writing Sample

I'm currently in the search for a fountain pen to upgrade from my Packer Vector. I had considered Lamy Safari and TWISBI Eco first and I recieved amazing response regarding the same. Now I wanted to look into Indian Brands as these are handmade and I heard the craftsmanship is amazing as well ( can't beat the machine but still it's handmade and it gives an extremely personal feeling to it.)

 Instead, I have to pay to ship the entire pen back to them and enclose $9.50 for return shipping. So I would probably pay $15 to $20 to repair a pen that costs $22 new. Ummm, no thanks

Unfortunately I also own a Lamy Vista but luckily has not developed the problem yet. I did find some posts online about other Lamy Safari owner's that have developed the loose cap issue and even a home repair fixes that I might give a try

Good pen except for the cap and Lamy's customer service.

Probably not unpopular but the triangle grip section on the lamy safari utterly ruins the pen. 

Of course I don’t mean to attack anyone and their passion, I just want to hear some fresh opinions that aren’t heard all that often. I’ll lead the way with three lesser ones:

1. There’s a time and a place for fountain pens. I love all of my pens to death and using them always brightens my day, but for work purposes, most of the shitty paper I’m given can’t even handle anything bigger than an F nib with average ink. Just as much thought and passion went into ballpoint pens and in my opinion, they’re much better all-rounders, so purposefully trashing ballpoints makes this sub looks quite pretentious and elitist.

2. Kaweco makes _the_ ugliest fountain pens I have ever seen in my life, especially the sport. Oh god.

3. Where’s the fun in collecting TWSBI, Lamy, Kaweco or other pens just to have them in different colors? You could explore so many new brands, mechanisms or models with that money.

Again, no hate towards anyone, I just find it fun to hear from some of the people who might not see much representation in the sub.

What are your unpopular fountain pen opinions?

 While this is obvious to me, only someone paying close attention would notice.  5) Bulky. Not something you would think of when shopping for your fountain pen, but this Lamy does not fit into the compartmentalized pen holders in all of my briefcases. Due to the large body and squared off ends (as opposed to the traditional "torpedo" shape), it can be akward getting this pen into the compartments when I am in a rush

What are your unpopular fountain pens-related opinions?

 For a big pen, these things hold surprisingly little ink when used with a standard converter. I far prefer using a syringe to refill Lamy cartridges. I suspect refilled cartridges hold 2/3 more ink than converters.  2) Lamy clips bag out over time
