 The 5.8X Jubilees are a $150 pair of headphones on mass drop, $150 bucks. Cheaper than the 4XX, cheaper than the 7XX, cheaper than just about everything. That's what like shipped 9500s cost now

 I was doing fast switch headphones where I put the set on and I take the other set and I literally push the other set off like a fucking Pez dispenser, knock them onto the back of my head and like, did I hear a difference? I was using one through the X7S Balanced and I'm using one through the JDS Labs Single Impended and it doesn't matter because they're so efficient, they're 150 ohms that they don't really are that amp dependent where you're going to hear a massive difference because of balance or because of a crazy power, we're on low gain on this thing. It's an annoying thing, it's annoying because Sennheiser fucked up, it's not Massdrop's fault for once, usually it's Massdrop's fault for everything but it's not their fault. This is Sennheiser handing over a $500 headphone dressed up, it's not even dressed up as a cheap headphone, they're exactly the same so they actually painted it more, added more stuff to it and charged a third of the price, less than a third of the price and there's no way to fix this, my soul is broken now because I have to live with I own a $500 pair of 660s and I love them to death, nothing bad has happened in this table, for anyone that has to do with sound, everyone who watched this video is a winner, us 660 owners, you know who you guys are, we, I don't want to say I got ripped off because the 660s sound like their $500 headphones and the problem now is that the 5AX Jubilees sound like their $500 headphones, because they sound so fucking identical to this, they certainly, if you could get them not on Massdrop, if they just appeared on Amazon, they appeared on B&H photo video, they find them on eBay, $150 is the buy of the fucking century and you should do it, but I could see a lot, because of this video and I apologize to 660 owners again, we are bros in this, the resale value of our 660s is going to plummet, fucking plummet, alright, if I wanted to sell these $500 pair of headphones for $300 and someone watched my own review, they're going to go, that ain't worth anything, they're worth about $150 and they are, that's what they are, they're this, this, a little bit prettier, this is a little bit prettier, it's got the indent, ooh it's got an indent, that's worth all the money, even the cable on the Jubilees is really nice, it's just a 3.5mm but it's nice, it's like a hardened vinyl so it doesn't pick up bullshit, it slides, it's the perfect length of like 5 feet, 60 inches or I don't know what that is in metric, because Merica, Meretric, Meretric, American metric, i

I asked Zach directly what would be good to check out since he makes my favorite headphones.  He pointed me to the Feliks Audio Echo for an OTL amp when I mentioned something available under $1000, and it has blown my mind coming from the Lyr 3 and CTH.  Thinking of going for the Elise in the future.

I am enjoying airpods pro when im at the gym and when doing physically demanding activities. I havw owned and used many cheapo taotronics like buds with the wire connecting both sides that sucked. I recently have been using iems with an es100, while they are way better sq wise but being truly being cable free is awesome.

What's your current unpopular opinion about this hobby atm? - September 2020

 I shouldn't need to use an equalizer for this headset; however, when tuning it the sound quality can be improved but moving my ears kills it and because it doesn't sit quite right it is easy to change how the sound enters the ear and ruining the immersion. The other issue is this doesn't have a removable cable on both ears, and I've owned many headsets and they typically fail when the internal cable going through the headband wears out as I tend to baby my headsets but just the motion of putting them on and taking them off causes rubbing.  I am currently looking for an alternative and will likely be returning these soon, but I'm going to see if there is anything I can do to help with the issues I've had.

 You want the clamping force to have the pillows apply even force all the way around your ears, but these are more /o o\ rather than \o o/ or |o o| which causes sound to escape out the bottom and actually hurts the sound stage. When moving my ears I can improve the sound quality a decent amount, but holding those muscles in that position is difficult for long periods. I loosened the headband so much that the headband barely touches the top of my head to make it somewhat fit but it doesn't feel secure and the cushions still don't fit right or help the sound quality.  Because this is made of plastic I can't simply adjust the headband to make it fit without breaking them

  The open-back design is nice as it expands the sound-stage.  The headset is about half the weight of my previous headset so that is a plus, however the major flaw is how it sits on the head.  This thing, they're like a synth pop group, definitely check them out if you can. But what I like about it is you get to hear the synths, you get to hear bass, everything within this music. The 58Xs blew their music out of the water, guys. I was really impressed by the sound signature of these headphones

 So you're definitely getting a great bass response there. And then from the mids, 200s to about 2000, these things are also a little bit raised and you guys know I'm all about the vocals and the highs are nice and rolled off. They're a little recessed in some areas, but this is to bring out vocals even more. And these definitely bring the punch

 So that is going to do it for this review. If you guys have $150 laying around, go out, buy these hands down. Don't wait because the drop will be gone and you'll be kicking yourself. Buy these for $150

 But you're also getting a lot of bass, which a lot of headphones that are open back are lacking in. So I really, really enjoyed using these headphones and I think a lot of you bass lovers out there can get that open back signature, but also have the bass too, which you love. So these are the first headphones of its kind that I've ever tried and I am very, very impressed. So if you guys have $150 sitting around, you want some new headphones for at home, because don't take these out because they leak so much

Good headphones under 200 for gaming and music. Preferably low impedance.

  Many other have stated that they sound just nice even when plugged directly to a regular mid tier cellphone, so I thought this might be true given that they are 120Ω and have a high sensitivity level (110dB).  I used to have a good DAC+Amp setup but I had to sell it, and, since Macs have a pretty decent headphone jack, I thought I would give the 560S a try.  After getting a Fiio New K3, things changed completely. The headphones started sounding much much better

I also enable the bass gain in the K3, otherwise the sound lacks a lot of punch, but that's to be expected on a pair of high impedance open back headphones being driven by a $100 amp

 Again, if you felt the HD 650 or 6XX a bit too treble-tame for you, too polite up top, then again, the Massdrop Sennheiser HD 580X Jubilee might just be your cup of tea. While it's not more detailed up top than the Sennheiser HD 650, it does present more treble energy comparatively. I would say to my ears that the HD 580X is the brightest of the models in the family, but listening to it makes clear that it is a member of that family. Versus the new Sennheiser HD 660S, which has to my ears more treble shimmer than the HD 650 or 6XX, but also more resolution up top to me, the HD 580X Jubilee still has the brighter signature, which is perhaps made a bit more prominent due to its comparatively more tame bass

 The HD 660S is more sensitive than that at around 109 dB at 1V, and the Massdrop Sennheiser HD 580X Jubilee is the most sensitive at over 110 dB at 1V at 1 kHz. Again, this should help with device match-up and will likely be the easiest of the family to drive. Like the HD 660S, the HD 580X Jubilee also has 150 ohm nominal impedance versus 300 ohms for the HD 600 and 650 and 6XX. This may also help with versatility

Well, it's a solid entry-level headphone for someone who hasn't yet entered the world of audiophile headphones, and even for those of you who have the Sennheiser HD 650 or 6XX, or even the Sennheiser HD 660S, the HD 580X Jubilee is a relatively inexpensive option to round out your stable. Now as audiophiles go, I've got a touch of bass head in me, so it's not my first choice of the family, but it's an easy recommendation at only $150 if what I've described sounds like it matches up with your sonic preferences

I needed a replacement for a pair of Fidelio X2Hr that the swivel on the driver broke. Since these had great reviews on Amazon, I thought I would replace the Philips with these.  While comfortable, it took me about an hour to decide that the sound of these headphones are pretty mediocre. I'm not sure why they get the good reviews that they do

 The mids and bass are not well defined at all and totally lack any punch or definition. I'm not a rap or techno listener, so massive low end is not something I want or need, but the drivers in this headphone are huge disappointment for me.  I think I'll give the Philips another chance.
