Pelikan Twist

I really like the Pelikan Twist, the nib is great and it's really comfortable to write with. Online is a brand that is a bit unknown outside of Germany, I think, but I think their nibs are underrated.

Some of the others are the Moonman/Majohn Q1, Pilot Kakuno, Online Swipe, Platinum Prefounte, Pelikan Twist (I just wish so much that it came in an nib), & Pilot Penmanship. I also really like my Lamy Nexx, but unfortunately I think I got one of their nibs masquerading as an ; it's smooth, but it writes with such a thick line that I can't use it for most things. (Small side rant: I have five Lamys with nibs--four Safaris & the Nexx--& the line width is different on each one of them. Only two actually seem like a true [western] to me, the others all seem larger.

The Pelikan Twist is nice but the grip isn't my friend. The TWSBI Eco is solid but I could just never warm up to it.

I tried out the Pelikan Twist that I got for Christmas last year for the first time this week and I love it. The nib feels similar to a Platinum Preppy in that it's just a tad too dry, but it makes controlling the lines super easy. With wetter/smoother nibs, I often have the feeling that I'm slipping. But writing with them after using the Twist for a bit, I feel like I'm able to control them much better, all while not putting in any pressure.
