If you're into sound mixing, podcasting, video/\s/editing, radio or recording studios, or any/\s/ environment where you need accurate sound, the/\s/7506s for less than 100 are a must have. There/\s/ is a reason why the 7506s have become and still/\s/are the industry standard used and recognized/\s/ all over the world

 This is what makes/\s/them so great for mixing.  Highs are crystal clear/\s/ allowing for the smallest details in vocals to/\s/come through or sounds like for example, glass/\s/ breaking to sound incredibly true to life. The/\s/mids are clean and well separated from the highs/\s/ and lows. In terms of lows, the 7506s provide a real/\s/kick with deep and punchy bass. Crucially, while not/\s/ overpowering the other frequencies, I'm pleased to/\s/say that the highs, mids, and low frequencies are/\s/ all very clearly separated and equally present/\s/what this allows for is very strong instrument/\s/ separation when listening to audio tracks

 It is going into a CLM dynamics, a preamplifier, definitely pro, pro grade preamplifier and recorded in through Reaper. I then render that raw audio to a wave. And then I play it back through an objective DAC and an O2 objective amp running through a Mac that is placed on headphones right over top of these ears. And I clamp them on there nice and tight so that the, so that they're, they're not leaking sound

 And so in many cases, if you're new to voiceover, if you're working on your own YouTube, you're working on your own podcast, chances are you're not necessarily, you're going to be both the talent and the director and the producer and the mixer and the mastering. You're going to be doing all of those things. So you want to make the best possible decision based on what you're hearing through your monitors and through your headphones. So the reason I started with the MDR 7506 is because you see them literally everywhere

 You won't necessarily see them like in the highest end studios, they'll be using much more premium things in this. But I've seen sound engineers, I've been to studios where the engineers are wearing these. I've been filming, not filming, recording commercials where the other person who's recording me is listening on these. I've listened on these when I've recorded in studios

My Sony MDR 7506 Headphones (and why I don't use them)

I don't think these things are bad sounding, but they'll give me a headache before they even get loud. I've been using studio headphones for years, but apart from some M-Audio HDH50's (which you can't really reliably get nowadays) I haven't had success. I currently put up with a pair of Sony MDR-7506's that I've never been particularly happy, and I just can't really accept them any more.

I'm looking for fatigue-free / dark-sounding / mid-focused headphones. Are there any options still out there?

 Nevertheless, I'm still happy with the design. They are comfortable on my large head, and the cord is just the right length and looseness for me.

 They fit pretty well and require no breaking in. And they have been the same affordable price for decades.  Each pair I've gotten has sounded slightly different, and yet, they're all pretty much the same. The sound is clear and very "standard"

 All, for the price, these are good headphones. The quality seems good not amazing, but plenty for what I need. They might not be the greatest for music, but honestly I haven't tested them too much with music.

 The one complaint I would have is the comfort. They are fairly light and if you were to use them for maybe a few hours a day, they would probably be fine. But I often wear these for 10 to 12 hours per day and they do start to hurt my head and ears a bit after about maybe 5 to 6 hours. I have to move them around a little bit so that the pressure is at different points

 I've been using the headphones now for several months, they are my daily users. I would say the quality is pretty good, very similar to other headphones I've used for a much higher price. Working in an automotive shop for 5 years without your production has me saying what a lot. I was doubting myself, and convinced that these headphones were going to sound very similar to the razer just with reduced bass. I never considered myself an audiophile because I thought I had heavily damaged ears. Working in an automotive shop for 5 years without your production has me saying what a lot. I was doubting myself, and convinced that these headphones were going to sound very similar to the razer just with reduced bass. However, I'm just now becoming enlightened to the beauty of recognizing soundstage. 
The first song I listen to with them was 30 seconds to Mars's I'll attack. I knew this song had two different melodies playing in both ears, and I wanted to see if I could hear anything else. I never realized how crisp the strain was in Jared Leto's voice until last night.
I'm currently googling music with great sound stages to listen to. I would appreciate any recommendations if you guys have any.

An excellent choice. A set of Akg k240's would also have great Soundstage, if you ever want to experiment with some open backs. The hobby only gets more expensive from here!
