 So these are very, very big looking things, very small holes, oh we got so much, no, they're no good. Basically all these super hyper cheap headphones have just garbage, you know what am I saying? Even up to like $200 headphones have really cheap super garbage pads. Looking at you Samson, Samson. So I've replaced those and I picked from here, here are the HM5 Sheepskin, these are so nice

I've got the angled version of that on the 610, the TH610s and these are again alpha pads and these are ZMF protein leather and here are the HM5 angled non leather, these are just the fake pleather ones. But on here what I've chosen are the cheaper ZMF pads, the Pilot pads, these are like $30 plus shipping I think

 Alright, yeah Superlux is the king of cheap period, end of line, they are just better at doing it than everyone else, it's because they don't use, this is crap and this is crap and the pads are crap, but the drivers are good and the sound reflects that.

 These are not, I mean they're not shaking or rattling, I've dealt with much more expensive headphones that just rattle, so they're not that, it's just that they're built in a very communist way, but the bad kind of communist way. I'll sound demo these with the stockpads and then possibly sound demo these, not sure, I probably should, it's been a while and I have the new recorder. Alright, yeah Superlux is the king of cheap period, end of line, they are just better at doing it than everyone else, it's because they don't use, this is crap and this is crap and the pads are crap, but the drivers are good and the sound reflects that.

Z Review - Superlux 668 & 669 (AKA Samson SR950)

 In terms of noise cancelling they work and have decent sound quality. Its the problem with product design and material quality. These have a free hanging cushion that grab onto the top of the head so the headphones do not wiggle in place. I find the placement of the cushions end up pressing into a pressure point on the top of the skull that can become painful after only a few minutes of wear and took a long time to get used to

 That and the base of the headphone cords that plug into the headphone jack have already started to wear out and bend leading to sound issues. I have fixed this by taping them into a straight position with electrical tape, but I am not happy since these are less than a year old. Overall decent quality for price, but disappointed as my cheap skull candy headphones from 2012 lasted almost 9 years before I had any type of issues that warranted replacing or breaking of cords. The only reason I bought these is that they stopped producing the model of skull candy ones I had used before

A few quality issues

 Those are like almost harsh bright, but I don't mind it because I like treble. So there you have it, the 681 and the 668B right here from Superlux. I'd probably go with these, but if you want to save a couple bucks and you don't mind a lot of treble, you can get these. And all the links where I got these are going to be right below here, the top link that takes you to our website

3 ounces. Now let's move on and get the specs on the 668B. Same 50 millimeter drivers, frequency response range is 10 to 30,000 hertz, and the impedance on these is 56 ohms. They come with a couple different cords, because as you can see here, it's detachable, and this gives you options

 So that's this one. Now, these, they've got the fins on top, similar to like the Audio-Technica style. The fins are adjustable. You've got to adjust them to make them comfortable because I'm constantly feeling them on my head

 However, you can go in and pull down just two or three decibels down and make it a curve all the way up until 5 and 7K are really pretty sharp with these. But you can bring those down a little bit, and it gives it a nicer sound. And there's even some people online that are getting these, pulling off the sides and modding the hell out of it, doing some soldering, and really fixing the sound. I think that's a bit of an overkill because you can just get a different pair of headphones and you'll be all right

The Best Headphones Under $50: Superlux 681 & Superlux 668B

The cable you plug the detachable cables into breaks after casual use at a desk.

 The HM5s don't come with a plastic ring. So it's just literally a matter of stretching. You see this little lip, little vinyl lip. This is a matter of stretching that over

 If after a week of burning or after two weeks of using it, the treble is still bothering you, because some people just can't get over the treble in these, which this pad also helps that. The whole sound changes, everything changes when you change a pad, and the whole sound changes, and I think it changes for the better, but if you still can't stand that treble, I recommend trying to do some of your own DIY modding to it. I've seen people just take paper towels, you know, take a layer of paper towel, put it in there, listen to it, take two pieces, put it in there, listen to it, and if it sounds better, you can actually pull that foam out, put the paper towels down, put the foam down, you wouldn't even be able to see it. I actually had like, toilet paper, and I folded it like sixteen times, two-ply toilet paper, put it in there, and it still sounded, there was no treble at all, and the bass was just off the wall

 So yeah, you could take these little pads that the Monoprice come with and you could throw them away because they're garbage. You press them and they just stay there and take a while to come back. So they do form fit, but it's just pressing right on the top of your head and you're probably better off getting one of those wraps for this. I've seen people do it

 You want to let the pads themselves on the side hold it vertically and these just gently touch your head and make sure they're lined up so they fit through there and these are actually really comfortable. I don't mind the fact that it's incomplete. If you wanted to complete this, it wouldn't take much to just take a piece of whatever and stick it across there. As soon as you figure it out, you know, yeah, it's not going to really move

Z Review - $50 Headphones Part 1 (Superlux668b+Monoprice8323)

 Super comfortable for about an hour or two before it becomes painfully uncomfortable. Airpods (First generation) - Decent sound, Comfortable for going about and charge up super quickly (Not that I need my headphones to be wireless).

 If you get the Superlux headphones and are getting a lot of noise, you should absolutely pick one of these up.  3. Antlion Audio ModMic Attachable Boom Microphone This thing is also extremely solid, and provides great voice clarity, good noise cancellation, and is pretty resistant to sibilant hiss and plosive pops. It attaches to your headphones with a little sticky magnet mount, so make sure that whatever cans you buy have at least 1/2 inch of flat space somewhere to allow proper mounting

  Setup recommended in the post: These headphones Antlion Audio ModMic Attachable Boom Microphone FiiO E10K USB DAC and Headphone Amplifier  I'll give a full review of these headphones below, as well as how they interact with the other pieces of this setup.  1. The headphones Sadly, these are the weak point in this setup. While boasting some pretty impressive sound quality for the price, the overall build quality feels extremely cheap (lots of flimsy plastic, and the vinyl ear cups are terrible) and they become pretty uncomfortable after a few hours

 These pick up a TON of noise even at low volumes, which must be why the Reddit OP recommends the DAC so strongly. I'm not an audio expert, but I'm guessing that either my internal sound card has a hard time driving the high impedance (I think these are 2x56 ohm) or they're just more susceptible to picking up EM from my computer. Either way, as a standalone these headphones are OK at best, and they really need a DAC to shine.  2

Reddit gaming headset review: Pretty good, provided that you get all 3 parts

Superlux hd668b with Brainwavz XL velour earpads, 2 extra foam inserts to stack up on top of the ones that come with the headphones. They're "semi open" but they really don't leak much sound at all, unless you crank them up to deafening levels. Great sound quality for the price, perform just as well with movies and gaming as they do with music.

My budget is $80, but I am willing to go a little higher if justified. I need headphones that'll be good enough for gaming(Hearing footsteps, recognizing surroundings, etc.), and good for music as well. I used to just wear those AKG earphones that came with my brother's Galaxy S9, and they had good enough sound quality but putting them on for prolonged periods hurt the cartilage on the inside of my ears(lol don't really know how to explain it, but it hurt). Initially, I was really drawn to the SHP9500, had a lot of great recommendations for it, but I found it recently that it's open back and when I live in a pretty cramped apartment I don't want to bother any of my family members with the sound leakage. So I'm looking for decent closed-back headphones under $80.
