Although I am not a TP Link user, I can say that using static IPs for my main HomeKit hub and every other smart home hub went a loooong way to alleviating the No Response issue.

I'm sick of "No Response" and/or delays loading Homekit devices in v15.2. So I'm upgrading my router and network gear to this to solve this mystery (fingers crossed) once and for all.

TP-Link Archer AX10 (AX1500) Wi-Fi 6 Router Review

- My PC is in a location far away from my home router, so I have a powerful wireless PCI-E adapter to get close to maxing out my gigabit internet on my PC. This is like the "worst case possible setup" with trying to get wireless to work with Quest 2: usually people have a hardline ethernet to their PC. Windows limits built-in hotspot to 20 MHz width, so trying to use the onboard Wi-Fi for Quest was no bueno. So, I looked into getting a dedicated router that is hooked up hardline to the PC directly, and only connects the Quest 2 as a wireless client

- However, even with the most ideal conditions (like, almost top of the line AX/WIFI6 router, no interference whatsoever on DFS channels), [Virtual Desktop still has micro-stuttering issues if we do not enable "Video Buffering" - enabling it increases overall latency by ~10 ms]([URL REMOVED] Apparently this is a known issue.

I thank everybody in the community here who helped me troubleshoot latency issues with my setup. Here's how it went down:

- I first went for the TP-Link AX1500 as per recommendations here, but it seems that the newest hardware revision is really bad for latency (I was getting latency spikes on the WIRED side with this router). 

 Seriously though, save yourself the trouble, spend a few extra dollars and look into Netgear or Asus 802.11ax offerings.

I bought this router because it promised gibabit ethernet speeds, but it is capped at just under 100mb/sec just like the router I replaced. My cable internet provider gives me 300MBS speeds, but my old router was capped at 100mb/sec. So is this new one.  I get full speed when connected directly to the modem, so the issue is the router

Due to xiaomi seeing Yeelight lan mode as a possible security risk, they are making Yeelight remove that option.
I have three Yeelight color bulbs, one is a model and the other 2 are model 3, and the model three have lost lan control mode already.
Since this is a xiaomi issue with Yeelight, I’m assuming that all other brands under the xiaomi umbrella (roborock and others) will also follow suit.

Keep this in mind when buying new smart home stuff.

Yeelight - no more lan mode

I’ve had a Geeni smart bulb for about two years now and I absolutely hate it. Everytime my internet goes down, it becomes “unresponsive” with Alexa once the internet is back up. I always have to unpair &amp; re-pair again through the apps, and half the time that doesn’t work. Currently it pairs successfully in the apps but when I try to use voice to control it, Alexa says it’s “unresponsive”.

So I’m just curious if there’s a popular consensus on what the best brand smart bulb is out there or one that works smoothly and seamlessly with the Echo. I’m using the updated Echo btw, the “sphere”. 

Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated! Thanks everyone!

Best Smart Bulb to Use with Echo?

 I would have thought it would be superior to the AC1200 but that is simply not the case. I get about the same distance and about the same speeds as my old router. I think it should include a USB connection at this price but it doesnât. 

 Ive had very good luck with them and they have never let me down over the years. Cannot say the same about our previous Netgear, however, it wasnât that bad. 

Why I chose the AX1500 over the AX3000? I never really used the USB on my AC1200 and i believe the only real difference between the two is advertised speeds and the Intel chip. They both do just about the same but the 1500 comes in at half the price.
