The ASUS manages to provide my entire house with a strong signal (basement, first floor, and office over a garage). By changing a setting on my Arris Surfboard modem I was able to turn on WAN Aggregation (effectively doubling the bandwidth between the ASUS and the Arris modem to 2Gbps) by connecting a second ethernet cable between the router and the modem. Very nice and easy once I found the setting in the modem. Overall, the router seems solid

I have an AX88U and this is the single best WiFi experience I have ever had. Our house is about 1500sqft, and my current desk location (which is temporary) is probably at one of the farthest points in the house away from the Router. I pay for gigabit (it's Cable so only 940mbps) and I get *full speed* when at my desk, over WiFi, using a ASUS PCE-AC88 WiFi card.

yay! My throughput speeds tanked on this router, which is easily verifiable as I have the rented cable provided gateway which I can switch back out of bridge mode, and also my neighbor's gateway network (1 floor up) which I can switch to on-the-fly and has the same level of service from Comcast fed from the same line from the same pole. For reference, I only have about 4 devices actively on the TP-link, so it isn't even tasked hard. Also, the traffic monitoring feature (for monitoring data usage) is terribly inconsistent and therefore useless. And even the Wi-Fi 6 is mostly useless, including OFDMA, unless ALL your devices support it, which is astoundingly unlikely for probably a decade (think of all the smart devices, cams, locks, switches) that are still on 2

.smartconnect? AiMesh? Incompatibility with Wifi 5 devices? Firmware? Hardware? Who knows? The bottom line is that while your advertising regarding the product is enticing, your product doesn't work. Oh it MAY work in your digital labs or controlled environments; but it has issues out here in the real world under the conditions you say it can handle

I bought this in December of 2020 (sorry for late review), as my Netgear Nighthawk R7000 broke again after yet another firmware update (about the 3rd time this had happened). I had to fix the Nighthawk by factory resetting it, installing firmware and re-configuring my network. This frustrated me so much I decided to check other options, as it felt like Nighthawk would fail soon. One of those options I considered was the TP-Link AX3000

I would personally justify the price of this unit IF everything was stable. But to further beat a dead horse, the reliability and stability isn't there without major manual setup and by contrast, performance is not consistent in the “easy setup” mode for general users, and even though AiMesh is amazing when it works, it has major bugs to the point where I switched modes entirely. Should the reliability and stability be resolved my review would be 5 stars through and through. But I cannot in good conscience tell the average customer that this is “an amazing buy” with all the AiMesh issues at its price point

My phone use to only receive up to 20 Mbps now it gets 60 Mbps, big improvement. I’m pretty contempt with the smaller slick design of this model to that of the AC1750 tp link model. Only downside of this is the cost of it, it’s a lot more expensive than the Tp Link AC1750 model but it’s worth the price. Oh yeah, I almost forgot to mention that the installation process was a piece of cake since this model supports the tether app, an app that makes the installion process easier and allows more features to be used in hand

My old Asus router that worked flawlessly for years is now a mesh node and works pretty well. But this AX88 router is garbage. Don't be a sucker like me and buy a $300+ router that won't allow you to get work done at home. I regret purchasing this

Then, as others have stated, the wi-fi started randomly dropping. Working from home, this has become a serious issue but par for the course for Asus. As others have recommended, I have disabled the ax mode and I will hope for the best. I wont even mess with the AI mesh as there are major issues there
