To answer the OP’s question: yes Intel AX210 is the best/fastest pcie client available at 1200Mbps WiFi rate, though I would add caveat that the drivers are really only optimized in Windows (vs Linux). This is regardless of your router. The only other client you could consider is Asus PCE-AC88 which can go to 1733Mbps WiFi rate if you have a 4x4 router, but it will cost you twice as much for older technology.

And if you care about ever booting Linux on it, AVOID Realtek 8852AE, just buy an extra AX200 or AX210 & replace it yourself, it will save you from shitloads of trouble.

Hi, I am conflicted between, a P14s gen2 AMD and T14 gen 2 AMD, the same config on both vary by appx. 7 USD with T14 being the cheaper, and the difference between the two include the WWAN cards:

TP-Link AX3000 WiFi 6 - BEST ROUTER EVER | Archer AX50

yay! My throughput speeds tanked on this router, which is easily verifiable as I have the rented cable provided gateway which I can switch back out of bridge mode, and also my neighbor's gateway network (1 floor up) which I can switch to on-the-fly and has the same level of service from Comcast fed from the same line from the same pole. For reference, I only have about 4 devices actively on the TP-link, so it isn't even tasked hard. Also, the traffic monitoring feature (for monitoring data usage) is terribly inconsistent and therefore useless. And even the Wi-Fi 6 is mostly useless, including OFDMA, unless ALL your devices support it, which is astoundingly unlikely for probably a decade (think of all the smart devices, cams, locks, switches) that are still on 2

  Performance is pretty junky too. My Comcast gateway, unfortunately, does better (though now with almost zero ability to config the Wi-Fi (thanks a bunch Comcast!)). Raw wi-fi connection is fair to middling, but the throughput is downright terrible, no matter what settings you deal with. Oh, and in an ode to driving you nuts, most changes you make in the interface require it to be saved independently and then the whole radio has to reboot which takes 90-120 seconds

 If every other device is off, the score is a B or a C. If I fiddle with the limited QOS on the router, I am able to get the bloat score to an A but our connection goes from a steady 350/18+ to 20/10.  

Lately, we have been experiencing unsustainable slowdowns. My first step was to upgrade our internet from 150/15 to 500/20, which I thought would provide a solution. If anything, it made matters worse. 

**What is the best way to solve this issue?** I am willing to spend up to 500CND dollars but cheaper is always better. I am also moderately technically savvy; however, I would like something I can spend an afternoon setting up and then ignore for the rest of my life. Lastly, we can likely route Cat-5 to the office, but would prefer to avoid a trip to the crawl space.

I bought this in December of 2020 (sorry for late review), as my Netgear Nighthawk R7000 broke again after yet another firmware update (about the 3rd time this had happened). I had to fix the Nighthawk by factory resetting it, installing firmware and re-configuring my network. This frustrated me so much I decided to check other options, as it felt like Nighthawk would fail soon. One of those options I considered was the TP-Link AX3000

Great value but underperforming range/coverage; good user interface

 My phone use to only receive up to 20 Mbps now it gets 60 Mbps, big improvement. I’m pretty contempt with the smaller slick design of this model to that of the AC1750 tp link model. Only downside of this is the cost of it, it’s a lot more expensive than the Tp Link AC1750 model but it’s worth the price. Oh yeah, I almost forgot to mention that the installation process was a piece of cake since this model supports the tether app, an app that makes the installion process easier and allows more features to be used in hand

A couple of weeks ago I had an older but decent Tp Link Router, the model AC1750. It’s a very good budget router to start out with but lately it’s been failing a lot and making all my devices lose signal a lot and making it harder for devices for connect to the WiFi. So I decided to upstage and went for this one. Wow, buying a later model really makes your money worth something
