Let's be honest: Dutch Blitz Looks a little old-fashioned but it's fun and it's competitive and fast. Really fast.

**Dutch Blitz** was first published in 1960 and it remains one of my favorite games to play with a large group. I’m not sure how popular it is outside of PA, but pretty much everyone I know has played it at least once. It’s a fast, wild, and competitive game and in my game group there is often lots of yelling and screaming throughout the game. It’s a blast to play and I can imagine it going out of print any time soon.

Barring that, I use games that can continue without everyone paying attention, and I want more of those. My go-to game to pull out when people have had a bit too much to drink, or I've had to tell a person or two multiple times that it's their turn, is Dutch Blitz. It's super simple, fast paced, everyone play at once, and if you aren't paying attention you just lose the game and no one else is punished for it.
