I would have considered a MB149 2nd hand if the price was right or anyone had ever offered a decent example, but in the absence of that I am forced to go new. So, pros and cons to those on the list welcome (would be bought from a dealer that checks nibs, for those hating on Visconti! :) ).

I love it. One of the people that works at Dromgooles (incredibly knowledgeable) keeps it in his Montblanc 149. Buy a bottle, give it a go.

No. I EDC my Hong Dian, a Pilot Metro, a Dresden Designs, or similar. I break out my Montblanc 149 (1968 model, was a bequeath from a close friend's father when he passed,) only on special occasions, or when one of our big bosses come down from CT to my office. I'd be too concerned breaking it or having it stolen to carry daily.
